The APA can negotiate in favor of anything they want, until the pilots are no longer in control of negotiating.  Uncle Bob's mystery panel dead ahead.
Like the west not listening to Freund, now the APA can disregard the sage advice of Robert Crandall.

Eric Ferguson versus the Wilders. Too funny.
Ferguson should be a television evangelist or used car salesman.
Not one win?

Former America West Pilots Win in Court Ruling Over Legacy US Airways Pilots

"Yesterday, there was a unanimous ruling in favor of the America West pilots, so youd think this would be done right? Of course not. The USAPA put out a press release immediately that came off as incredibly whiny."

The 9th punted. Is that a win?

Whiny this AM?

Finish the story Spinmeister.
The trial was remanded.
Tell Res he came very close to having charges pressed on him after he tampered with the US Mail. He has had many close calls with the Feds, from the wrong side of the law.

Crandall made some pretty good mistakes in his time. He's well liked compared to Horton though, probably because he really wanted the company to succeed and had a plan. The senior pilots I've talked to still remember being talked into some contract concessions by Crandall and then having him promptly turn around and give huge bonuses to himself and senior management. I think they take his advice with a few grains of salt.

Use your AWAPPA password and look for the thread where the first line states:

"I am thinking of going on dues check off because I am going to max my 401k thereby keeping the scabs dirty hands off my money."

It seems you U-saps have some dissatisfied pilots, y'all claim to represent. Hopefully, the APA will do a better job for less. Just fill out the application on the signature line if you'd had enough. 😉
Judging from the amount of time you spend here, I suggest you take some of the cash and buy yourself a life.  USAPA won't mind.

Res Judicata: I love how effortlessly the APA BITCHSLAPS USCABA.....

Sigh! No one could ever even begin to try to make this stuff up. 😉

You must be using a different Legal Dictionary than I am.  Mine doesn't say anywhere that "punted" means the same as "remanded for dismissal".  And, actually, that WAS a win for USAPA.

USAPA is attempting to evade the jurisdiction of Judge Silver in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona, who previously weighed in regarding the issue of integrating USAPA's membership into one seniority list.

Looks like a good move to me. The APA's hanging it's whole hat entirely on dicta, and secondly; heck, who in their right mind wouldn't be entirely satisfied with the judicial excellence thus far seen in Arid-zona courts? Why!..The very NERVE of some people to even dare question the established wisdom of the likes of the Wakes/Silvers of this world!...Well, perhaps excepting higher or other courts, of course. 😉

What's most amazing to me in all this, is the obvious fantasy out west, that should the APA become essentially all-powerful and be able to at all circumvent MB law, that the west would magically fare at ALL well afterwards, and yet they fervently hope and even cheer for just such a development. Unbelievable, or almost, but then for any that can fantasize themselves mighty "spartans"/etc...well...

Only took you 7 years to figure that one out.
Catch up contributions to a 401k are limited to people over 50. Now that the majority of West pilots fall into that age group, many are taking advantage and paying themselves 2.45% immediately.

What is truly unbelievable is the formation of a SCAB union for the stated purpose of reneging on an arbitration and stealing jobs.

Further, my sources say the Coalition of Airline Pilots eagerly awaits the SCAB unions decertification.

Oh, one more thing....the APA is accepting contingent applications for membership on their website.

salesman.
Just a guess here, but I am thinking from the filings to the NMB and the district court in DCA from the company and APA, it is not going to be Ferguson v. Wilders, but FORMER SCAB union v. AAL and APA in a minor dispute before the system board with arbitrator Bloch right up til uscaba is decertified and Bloch throws out the arbitration.
