That's FUNNY right there!  Minor "revelation"?  Seven PLUS million in the bank, three legally WON lawsuits (plus one on its way) PLUS dues money from the westicles payouts for profit sharing who are not on dues checkoff.  Oh, BTW EVEN if USAPA goes away in the future those who think they don't have to pay the dues they would have had to pay when USAPA was here better think again.  USAPA is still entitled to the money and the company can STILL fire you.  There's a MAJOR revelation for you.

That's REALLY funny right there!
Out of curiosity, do you believe that "USAPA" (whatever that is) after the APA takes over will retain those millions? Btw, those "won" lawsuits have gotten you exactly zero percent closer to imposing your DOH dream list. They did however keep loa93 alive and well for several years longer than anyone thought possible.

Choose one...

1. The East won nothing and never ever took anything from the West: the Spartan defense prevented it.
2. The West WAS harmed by the East. The East has plundered the West and made off with millions (probably Billions) that wil be recouped in the courts.

Here is a new phrase for you to learn... "mutually exclusive"

When should the snapshot be taken if not at the time of the merger, dimwit?

5, 10, 20 years before the merger?
Yeah, why take a snapshot from 5 years ago, much less from eons ago during the Pre-Nicolithic Age when dinosaurs roamed the earth?

To me the tie is creating a hostile work  place. The yellow lanyard offended the West and the meaning of the west tie offends me. Maybe it is time for us to call HR.

A snapshot is the most arcane method of assessing anyone's performance. I bet I could snapshot one of your sim sessions at some time in your career and make the case you should not be in an airplane. Anyone.
Snapshot is when the camera clicks immediately after you drop the hammer on your foot.

It is when you pop out a magazine to stay awake after five hours over the pond.

It is when your oxygen mask is still stowed when your fellow pilot gets out of his station to plug in his iPad.

It is when TSA takes your 12oz bottle of Texas Barbecue because you changed into comfy clothes for your commute.

Etc. etc. etc.

A Snap Shot is nothing more than cherry picking.

Shhhh...

I say give it another couple of weeks to allow the gullible to buy a tie right before HR declares it violates the uniform policy (because it has writing that promotes a cause).

The yellow lanyards were an attempt to get the company to negotiate a contract that would have put the NIC in effect, and the west said, "Noooo!"
I've heard of being stupid, but that takes the cake. Time to move on.

Already called Chief Pilot office.  They know and they are taking care of it.  AAL policy won't allow it.

Does the Green Book have the 'flex' provision? The 75-76 c/o's just got 'flexed' +5 above the 85 max for April. Just wondering if that's even in a contract???
Cheers.

Your confused Kev, we have DOH all that has happened by YOUR choice is you chose not to participate, and it has cost your side a lot of money. You could have been in wide body planes plus so many upgrades, the guys that wanted to come east like Move2 could have. Any westies that want to join in the growth and are being held back by AOL should go after them.

"We now have a better picture what the East MEC had on the table: an 8 year fence, furloughs by longevity (LOS), MDA time not counting for longevity, Dave ODell having 400 pilots below him, and the Nic surviving as THE LIST. Yes, the East offered the NIC. They just wanted to protect their retirement attrition, which stalled by the change in Age-60. Looking back, that offer must look like a home run to any West pilot right now, but last February the EAST MEC and ALPA couldnt get to first base with it.

Our former MEC and our union leadership played a very high stakes game of poker by not dealing at Wye River. Freund was right, we were risking everything..and right now, it looks like we lost.

They need to take responsibility for that."

Koontz and Ferguson screwed the west pilots.

Sell all you can. Still can't wear them at work.

I don't make ethical decisions based on "what's in it for me".

And that's exactly the standard you lived by when you told Daddy not to pull strings to allow you to ace out a more qualified applicant at Piedmont.  I can just picture you saying, "Daddy, I want to succeed or fail on my own."

Oh, wait.  Never mind.

Too bad we can't take a snapshot of the time when your application was in the NFW pile at Piedmont.  Just before Daddy schmoozed the right people and "ethically" got you the career that would have gone to another, more qualified candidate.

Well...that being your "professional" motivation; ya' might wanna' try this suited ensemble for better effect, which I'd think that since nearly $700 for an elegant tie alone is acceptable, should be able to be hustled for at least a grand or more. 🙂

PS: Have "you'se" considered offering up a fine line of equally exquisite velvet paintings to further inspire all your patriotic "soldiers" yet? I'd think something of that sort should naturally follow.  I'd suggest immediately contacting the underlinked artist for future needs there. 😉
