Judge Silver could learn something about consistent, logical, and complimentary (rather than contradictory) use of "footnotes" from the humble lawyer, Wilder....

Footnote # 7 The Carriers and APA suggest that by defending its members’ vital interest in the seniority integration process that USAPA is destabilizing labor relations. That claim is ridiculous. Ensuring protection of a premerger employee group in this most fundamental area of employee benefits during the merger transition process is the essential task of the premerger representative. And the APA and Carriers’ suggestion that labor stability will be enhanced by the Board putting its thumb on the scale of this dispute to extinguish USAPA’s exclusive representative status—in APA and the Carriers’ minds then allowing them to order the seniority integration process unilaterally—is an even more ridiculous assertion. That is an invitation to profound labor strife that the NMB must reject.
Let Parker, Segal, and the APA get their pants taken down by the best. Get the popcorn ready for the show. The Missouri senators are watching this one.

Whoaaaaaa!
Wilder SLAMS APA and company in latest filing. Standby for the fur flying biych slap coming from NMB against the APA. More years of East upward movement. West isolation continues to lead to stagnation and possible demise while East and APA pilots continue to move up their respective lists.
Hope you guys like your $675 ties. Maybe you can wear them to your Eagle/Envoy interviews.
We are hiring on the east about 40 a month till December. Westies are welcome to join in the growth, how many could be on the wide body or upgrade. AOL IS DAMAGING YOUR CAREER, TIME TO SHUT THEM DOWN!!!! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

But I hear Mesa is hiring.  Hopefully they didn't all burn that bridge and Ornstein will take them back.

Ornstein's a nice guy.  Let's hope he doesn't make the Mesa Grande boys pay for their jobs all over again.

The APA and USAPA will be locking horns for years. Parker is loving it. No contract negotiations for years, a natural labor edge.
The APA pilots and east pilots will benefit from their respective attrition and upgrades. The west? Not so much. Actually very little.

The East attrition is certainly rolling along with new permanent bids about every two months with lots of upgrades and new-hires.

I've seen the American retirement numbers. While they don't really kick into high gear for a few more years (like 500-600 hundred per year). They do have a lot of retirements going on now. Does anyone know if they are putting out regular base bids and what their upgrade numbers have been? I'm not sure that information is publicly available at this time. Anyone from the AA side know?

Pretty sure the NMB is more compelled by the law and a Federal Judge than a whiny scab union that sees its imminent demise and financial collapse rapidly approaching. Why do all of you "implicitly assume" the APA is incapable of a DFR to ALL pilots? Looks like you'll just have to wait and see where you end up on the combined list and how you got there. Mark your calendars for December 2015. That's when you might have a glimpse of what happened.

No need to refer to the immediate actions or ECAM exceptions index.

Should I be concerned?

You're just "pretty sure" Res? I would think the NMB would follow there own laws as it applies to labor unions. Just my guess. I suppose if a FEDERAL judge (Ooohhh, scary) went against the NMB laws, the NMB may be compelled to disregard their own laws, but I'm skeptical...

And why should anyone "implicitly assume" the APA is incapable of a DFR to ALL pilots? Well, I would give great weight to their past practices. I would assume if the APA screwed EVERY SINGLE pilot group they EVER had an integration with, I'm thinking it's a safe assumption... But maybe they are scared of the West and will play fair for the first time in their entire existence. Again... I'm skeptical...

Wouldn't you also say that APA did a pretty good job of fulfilling their obligation of DFR to the pilots that they represented?

Absolutely they did! That's their job. Take care of their membership and fight for the best integration for their side. The East and the West are not on their side. It would be stupid to just hand them over the keys and say go ahead APA, do what you think is fair for us, we trust you...

Another point in time picked by a west pilot predicting a bad outcome. How about east pilots mark their calendars for every retirement and new hire class. That, is reality.

Prechil predicted in February that USAPA would be gone by April 4th.  That's Friday!

How's that working out for ya, Pre?

Did the big airplane come through PHX yet for your sniff tour of the cockpit?
