Getting at least 18 folks to read your post... THAT is an accomplishment (assuming all 18 negative voters actually read it).

Great post. Let us not forget alpa and their pilot """""""""" neutrals"""""""""", steve gillen and jim brucia now united airlines pilots. alpa president, john prater and alpa vice president and rice committee chairman paul rice, now united airline pilots.Barrister said:WOW sports fans..... Just read David Braid's power point presentation to Capt. Hale and all I can say is: You want some whine with that cheese!! Can't remember the last time I saw something so devoid of any real evidence of a scheme to harm a particular group.
Hey Braid let me give you some facts.
The East had to give up 35-40 737s just to get this deal done.
Our previous CEO spent 2 billion buying back stock just to keep it propped up in case of a merger.
Your route structure was weak to start with. You are down to one hub.
Your career expectation is whatever the corporation decides to do with YOUR assets.
Separate ops was a requirement until a joint CBA was finalized. It wasn't.
How much money as a aggregate group, did you make by
1. Getting profit sharing even though the West wasn't making a profit.
2. Getting the defined contribution plus if you stopped the 401K contribution afterwards it was equal to getting another 5% raise.
How much was the East going to benefit in the merger according to NIC....don't run look it up I will tell you...a whopping 22 million ...WOW.
I could go on and on but these were just things that I could name without even thinking about it!!!
YOU ARE WHINING TO THE WRONG GROUP
and now you have embarrassed yourself in front of the AMR VP of Flying...PRICELESS
But here is the deal......and I know I am right. I don't blame the West. Not now or ever. I will lay this at the feet of NIC for all time. He screwed you by not DOING HIS JOB and coming up with an equitable solution.
THIS IS WHAT YOU DON'T GET. Had US been standing on the Court House steps, liquidation papers in hand NIC still had the duty to create A FAIR AND EQUITABLE LIST....HE DID NOT!!!
And one final thing...the Captain you cite R. Peck.... I know the guy...good man HE IS RETIRING THIS YEAR
and you are mad that you couldn't jump in front of him.

Good spotlight on the bottom line. The whole industry wanted to see USAir go away so as to fix their problems, which wasn't gonna happen anyway. ALPA was an incestuous cesspool, not a brotherhood.Claxon said:Great post. "In recognition of their efforts it was (yes, the word "was" was used) not been an easy task, I could not conclude this Opinion without thanking Captain Brucia and Captain Gillen for their immeasurable guidance and assistance."

Fact, united airlines was in merger talks with US Airways during the time that all the now employed by united airlines alpa pilot neutrals and alpa president and alpa vp were "assisting" in the seniority integration of US Airways and america west pilots .
alpa and united pilots nice try. american airlines pilots, INCOMING!"
chips word of the day.....poke. Like in hokey pokey.USA320Pilot said:Will USAPA UEL Extortion Work This Time? The ALPA UELs and then the USAPA UELs have a long history of poking an entity in the eye that the UELs want to reach an agreement with through the use of extortion. Throughout the US Airways pilots history the UELs poked management in the eye. For example, the UELs Fuel Awareness Program, USA Today Ads, Illegal Job Action, Turbulence Billboards, Turbulence Billboard on the side of a truck, Safety Campaign, and hiring a laid off college professor to act as a safety expert to bash the company, etc. are just a few examples that failed. Now USAPA is using that tactic again, which will most likely fail because APA will not give in to extortion. USAPA either does not understand the M-B statute and its formation or and USAPA wants to bash APA by intentionally misrepresenting information to the DCA District Court. In Document 28, footnote 2 USAPA said, “As APA concedes, its unfair treatment of former TWA pilots in the seniority integration dispute arising from the merger of American and TWA was the reason Congress adopted the McCaskill-Bond Amendment. See Document 26-1 at 18."The M-B Amendment was a result of the AFA and AFA MEC obtaining Missouri congressional delegation support. The AFA convinced Claire McCaskill and Kit Bond to support legislation to attachment the M-B amendment to the Omnibus Spending Bill. Why does USAPA poke APA in the eye by incorrectly telling the court the basis for the M-B statute and then expect APA to agree to USAPA’s revised draft PA, UMTA, GA, and MBLS offer?I have never understood the UELs strategy to hurt or embarrass a party as a means of extortion to force an agreement. This strategy has never, ever worked before and I suspect after nearly one-month since USAPA submitted its SLI/USAPA dissolution proposals (which are a secret being kept for the US Airways pilots) will work this time. Just like a negotiation with a terrorist no entity can ever give in to extortion and I suspect APA may just wait until SCC before actively speaking to the MC again. I hope I’m wrong…

"polite disposition"?...Seriously? Now THAT may just be the most hilarious joke they've yet attempted. Any readers without a full understanding of their "good humor and polite disposition" need only start about 1:26 into the following to get a good glimpse of the actual reality, especially concerning their "polite disposition". "You know why I hate every single one of you?"..."I hate all of you'se!" Simian gesturing graciously included at no extra charge. A finer and more exemplary group of true "ladies" and "gentlemen" would be hard to even imagine.
