American Airlines negotiators included a provision that would allow the company to “immediately” eliminate many of the medical plans for any workgroup that loses union membership with the Association.

This is 1000% (yes, 1000, there's not an accidental zero) unacceptable. A Union CANNOT be permitted to include a poison pill for their own protection. I don't care if they say the Company insisted on it. This is straight up corrupt underhanded and unethical BS.

So if I read this right (I'm wrong a lot), The IAM loses their medical if there is an AMFA change? This is how they guarantee that percentage not sign a card? Pathetic if so, and more IAM protections.

I think the company did actually agree, it was sold this way.
if there is IS PRESENTATIONAL CHANGE WE ALL BECOME iam then company obligated on giving all, the iam health plan..

For those who want to rid themselves of this ASS, I’m not sure this is a bad deal it just means you can negotiate your own insurance once you have new representation
