Thats funny they despise us. The company and the association.

Easier to layoff after the vote. They'll probably let it be voted on.
As this guy has already lead on, this asso is all about making it easier for the company to do layoffs, rif's and concessions. This is one of the big reasons they will in fact let it go thru a vote as they have stated...

The company has made no mention of wanting to pull the contract back, or delay the vote. It is my personal opinion that the company wants to get this done and get everyone under one joint agreement in case furloughs are needed. It will be much easier for them to deal with one agreement and one seniority list, than two separate ones.

I find it amazing how so many people are experts on running a airline. Yet your job titles are bag handlers and mechanics.
Also why is someone that don’t even work for either AA or US air. Have so much to say.
Exchange info ideas ect come to mind? Been thru a lot over yrs??? Company makes billions. Stock buy backs. U are????? Mgmt???? Or???

Although good numbers for new 401K matches and contributions, a bad time for the stock market. I hope you guys can make it thru without any furloughs and rif's. And that goes for everyone.

Buy low, sell high.

As a FSA i haven't heard anything yet. Though they did post a sign up for anyone wanting to sign up for the vto. So far no takers.

DL is offering both 1 & 2 week leaves, and longer ones of 30/60/90 days.

At my station, they are also offering day at a time leaves. Lotsa names on the sign up sheet.

Thats good kev. For us i think..(ill try get clarification) its 1 or 2 weeks to start

Maybe Doug will let us take our 6th vacation week instead of the weeks pay if this passes?!

Doubtful they want us to go without pay.
I would agree to take a week if they could agree for half pay.
Not many can go without a weeks pay

Interesting Kev.
Do you know if any of the leave Delta is offering is with part pay like the AA pilots nego with AA? By offering a partial pay leave time will get way more participants IMO. Maybe 2/3's pay for the 30-60-90 choices, and perhaps 1/2 pay for the lesser leave options? Or is Delta only offering no pay for any of the time off?
This will soon wrap throughout the industry and other airlines will come up with some kind of leave options, just like sharing with everyone in the industry to compare and maybe even what we might expect coming our way or others way.

Welcome to the forums.
It is better for the industry as a whole if we all share and compare what all airlines are doing. This has worked really well with the last 6 contract issues within the unionized airlines as well as Delta kicking it all off as the first airline to start with the raises, then all other airlines fell into place and started leapfrogging thru the industry.
BTW no one hear has expressed how the airline should be ran, they are simply discussing and giving input and suggestions as well as comparing what is all going on in the industry. Better to stay informed than NOT.

Sito just sent out a letter that IMHOP was a bit over dramatic but it’s telling all members to contact congress about making sure that the government helps the airlines.
One statement he says is that all airlines could be out of cash by May if nothing is done and that we don’t see any light at the end.
I do believe this is a very serious issue for all and yes let’s hope congress comes through to keep all airlines flying and most jobs maintained.
This is going to be a very long difficult year indeed

I’m surprised their is not much talk of language on here.
I was wondering about a RIF/Furlough scenario, if there are furloughs say in Tulsa and a senior person takes the VEOP $22,500 is he eligible for the 17 weeks of severance? It may be the only “Early Out” package their will be, $22,500, 17 weeks base pay, sick leave at $10.80 if you have any. A lot are looking to exit.

They will probably get relief in the form of loans if needed. If AA goes bankrupt Doug Parker needs to go to prison!

Cannot believe how no one believed they were in a position to go bankrupt in '03 or '11, but think this is a slam dunk scenario today. 😵

Could it be that every airline expert has stated this is worse the 9/11.
The big difference is nobody can say when life in America will return to somewhat normal.
In 2001 there was not a shutdown of every major events across the country like we have now.
So yes this is worse and it’s not likely it will get better till at least mid summer
