Fellow American Airlines Dispatchers:
Many have asked the PAFCA-AAL Steering Committee, “When are we going to have a representation election?â€￾ We can finally tell you that your signed authorization cards have been submitted to the National Mediation Board (NMB). Depending upon the speed of their review process, our representation election should happen within the next 45-90 days.
During this short period, the NMB will conduct an investigation concerning our representation. This process will be done in accordance with the RLA, the NMB Rules (29 CFR §§1201-1209), the NMB Representation Manual and other NMB directives. This review and it''s timing is dictated by their rules and regulations. If you would like to view these documents and procedures, they are available at:
www.nmb.gov/documents/docsup.html
Below, we have included a portion of the NMB Representation Manual. This excerpt spells out how the ballots will be handled. It is especially important for everyone to not only vote but also to send in a valid ballot. Please make sure that American Airlines has a good and valid mailing address for you. The address they have on file will be used to send out the ballots.
The next several weeks could be difficult ones in the office. There may be attempts by the opposition to sow fear, uncertainty and doubt about the future - when PAFCA prevails in the representation election. There may even be character assassination attempts and acts of intimidation toward certain individuals. However, the PAFCA-AAL Steering Committee has no doubt about the professionalism of every individual in our office and knows that our Safety of Flight responsibilities will upheld.
If anyone still has questions, please see one of the Steering Committee members listed below. Each member will have copies of the FAQ from our web site and should be able to answer any other questions or concerns. Finally, many of you have friends that are dispatchers at United. Please give them a call and listen to how much they like PAFCA! Remember, we all are dispatchers just like you. Each understands the consequences of bad or inaccurate information. Every member of the PAFCA Steering Committee is committed to providing you with the whole, complete and documented truth. Feel free to call on us at any time!
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Respectfully and sincerely,
PAFCA-AAL Steering Committee

YES HE WAS/IS!
It will be interesting to see if his craft or class group changes unions and he is no longer a member of the TWU. Will then, the Kangaroo Court Pundits still take the position that it is unethical to be member of one, while promoting and/or holding office in another!
You know they have been blasting Dan Cunnigham for supporting AMFA while running for TWU Office.
What about being a member of one RIVAL union while holding office in another?

Not that there is anything wrong with huge AMFA banners, BTW. I just wanted to avoid confusion.

No problem.
We are all for eliminating confusion and making things clear.
Good luck on eliminating the union leadership that is always confused.
