<_< ----- Boeing, took a clue from the Airlines, and outsourced the manufacture of different sections of the airframe, and when they went to put them together, hey had:------"issues"!!!! ----- Imagine that!!!
From the start, I laughed at the "NEW" way of building aircraft.
This isn't to say the "paperless" design process is bad. Actually, working in a virtual medium is great but one should take more care in picking one's "partners". Simply because a group of educated idiots were impressed by a line of crap from someone's manufacturing gurus (not to mention all the schmoozing), this in no way means the processes/materials/way of thinking of another country are compatible with the job at hand - Boeing assumed such and paid a severe price for their management's extreme stupidity and inability/unwillingness to lead.
Boeing, sticking to the paperless mantra, did not do their own
R&D and first article build, rather, the fools let other countries with lesser technology/abilities take care of that,
the most important part of any manufacturing project and quickly totally lost control of THEIR project, the 787. Boeing has become a poster child for the example of how NOT to do any job, even running a lemonade stand.
As Eolesen said some time ago, this is a sign that Boeing's "management", much like that of American's, has become inbred to the extent nobody thinks through the consequences of their actions. While it's some great entertainment to watch unfold from the lower castes, it's also rather pitiful because I realize that's the pay of those who keep the company running that's being pissed away on a regular basis by the frat-brats of Boeing, exactly as happens at Centrepork.
Is there any way we can get the Centrepork SOBs drug tested? Methinks they stick their yearly April payouts up their noses.
