Abortion: Which Side Is Fabricating?

That is one evil picture. Something is wrong with your soul, brother.

Not sure what that is. Can you show it to me? I just do not subscribe to the fairy tale you define as religion.

Fine, you want nice touchy feely pictures.

This is the agnostic/atheist god. Can you see it?

OH yea, I forgot, your god is the only real god. The 5 billion people who believe differently than you are just misguided.

"oh they just dont pay attention to all these education programs we have so lets go ahead and put this right here in this bill"

Fine. Let's assume that none of my ideas will work. What is your idea to reduce unwanted pregnancy?

And what would be your solution to this "lot of stuff we should not have to deal with in our society"?

Freedom4all........................you have hit it right smack dab on the head......that is the progressive agenda and view point on 'unwanted societal issues'.

Good post.

You are so smug. You have everyone figured out, yet you fail to see you are tangled in the phony Democrat/Republican, left wing/right wing web of deceit. All part of the Hegelian dialectic to fool you into submission to the state.
While you condemn religion. You fail to realize that atheism is just another religion. Religion is man made. Religion is just another opiate for the masses. Like sports, popular media and consumerism.
Religion tells you Christ died on the cross because his message of peace. Christ was a revolutionary. What got christ crucified was that he went against the established order of the Sadducees and the pharisees. Don't forget how he chased the money changers out of the temple. Been to St. Patricks Cathedral lately, or one of the so called Christian "mega" churches lately? Gift shops, souvenier shops...
If Christ were on earth today he would not be hob knobbing with the likes of popes and other false prophets or presidents and kings. He'd been among the hookers and junkies in the poorest ghettos or shanty towns.
Religion tells you to let the rich and powerful rob you, because your reward will be in heaven. Good scam. Religion works hand in hand with the state to suppress the masses. While everyone is at each others throat arguing about abortion, gun control, illegal immigrants, or any other media hyped event du jour, your country is being swindled from you in front of your eyes. Yet you are too blind to see.

I have no interest in legislating morality. I do firmly believe that sex ed needs to be taught. Not asking someone to say that sex is good or bad.

All I want taught is that when you put part A into part B, chit can happen. In order to reduce the likely hood of said chit happening, you can use device C over part A. There are also things that the owner of part B can take that prevent anything coming out of part A from making 'a/b' (aka chit happen).

We are not saying you should or should not put part A into part B. We are just telling you what can happen if you do. If you need or want any prevention hard ware, plz come to the nurses office or go to your local pharmacy.

That concludes Sex Ed.

As for responsibility. Sure, perfect world everyone takes care of their own screw up. Welcome to reality. Unwanted pregnancy will happen. Pay a little up front or a lot down line. I don't much care for it, but that is the reality of it. We don't have the money to take care of everyone. We as a society are not going to punish the children for the faults of their parents so we will take care of them. That is who we are. Pay now or pay later.

The basic concept of individual Freedom and Liberty MANDATES that individual Responsibility goes hand in hand. As we see with the birth of omnipresent, omnipotence & omnipresent nanny state we see the equal or greater erosion of Freedom and Liberty as we are forced to not only eat the government cheese but taxed to death to fund the making of said cheese.

Often we see the nanny state rear it's ugly head under the guise of "The Children" and attempting to use them as a bludgeon to force their neo fascist socialist agenda upon an unknowing intellectually sleeping populace.

The government has no business in a families bedroom or backseat of the Ford beyond the role of public health. Those who create children, unwanted or otherwise bear the responsibility for their development into solid citizens.
Bravo!

Lack of responsibility = consequences = life experiences.

Irresponsibility is not an excuse
exactly.

the problem is not always just money, its simply some who refuse to accept any
responsibility for their personal actions. as its always someone elses responsibility to
cover it for them!

until some start to assume some level of personal accountability for their own life choices, it will be an endless cycle.

the taxpayer cannot save the world paying for everyone else at the same time.. while trying to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table for their family they assume responsibility for!

I've always admired Sheriff Joe but what's he got to do with this thread?

Neat segue Bob. Where'd you get the above article from??

That's laughable!
Morality has been legislated since time immemorial.
Thous shalt not murder
Thou shalt not steal
Thou shalt not bare false witness against thy neighbor...

English Common Law and the new codified laws derive their authority from legislated morality.

This is also where the fear with government controled & funded health care comes from. The fear that the government may seek to dictate how and possibly when a loved one will pass on or be denied services that may improve the quality of their life.
That is exactly how the Republican party is trying to torpedo any reform. Just like the way they capitalized on fear after 9/11 to pass the patriot act, etc...

The current scene being played out in this heath care reform debate is straight out of that playbook.
