AFA COUNCIL 70 PHL UNETHICAL BEHAVIOR

Ok, so The "Majority" of the MAA f/a voted for her then some months later all signed a petition to get her out...No, I dont think so. I saw the petition, I signed it along with over 100 + f/a's at MAA, I wish they would have turned it in to Pat Friend to get her out, but, I really do not know what happened to it. Whoever started it must have quit MAA because they were tired of her crap. As were all of us. Hate her I did not...I do not have hate for anyone, that is such a strong word, but, I did not like the way she worked or before her the way Teddy worked. Both of them had issues with getting back to you when you called. The point of all this is, PHL 70 may or may not have done some things that they are not proud of, but, noone is perfect and I am sure there are some bones in the PIT LEC and others as well. So, becareful what you wish for because someday there may be a dog digging at your back door.

It would have to be a stupid dog to be digging there since she isn't there anymore.

(OK, back to your regularly scheduled argument.)

Da da da da....da da da da Like sands through the hour glass so are the days of council 70..... This is soooo good.

ok back to the illegal activity at local 70.......if u want to talk about maa start your own thread...

You are completely wacked out, as usual.

Speaking for one of the PHL reps, who is senior enough to bid the highest paying block, to start.

Except for vacation, she is in the office five god#####(edited by mod) days per week. She flys one or two days on the weekend, usually the PHL-SJU-PHL.

I don't know if you noticed, not that I would expect, since you seem to have lived in a phonebooth, but very little administratively can be accomplished on weekends with this company.

I cannot tell you all times her vacation time is interrupted with "union business", cleaning up the unfinished business from PIT. I am somewhat peeved that you, the fault for much of the problems, seems to think you can take shots at people for problems you have created.

I, and the IRS, consider all the work she does as a "charity". The auditor actually felt sorry for her.

Hon, you really need to deal with your anger.
And I thought MOTHER TERESA died several years ago! Now she has RESURFACED in Phillie as a stewardess and waddling up and down an aisle to San Juan.......maybe this esteemed individual need to be "sainted".....Teddy made sacrifices and fought battles for the masses- and let's NOT forget it!

First of all I do not waddle my heels and my deameanor are not that of a duck. I have praised Teddy for her contribution but there were battles fought long and hard before her and after me. Do not ever accuse me of wanting to be a saint. You are nothing but a snipper and you and your pals are losers

Do you think that I will just let you destroy my 36 years of Union work. Please I will help you write the charges against me. You know the process I will donate 2 of my days off in both crew rooms to Recall Terry Graf. You may have a little following but a shadow you ground hog will never cast on me.

Fyi Purposes:

Here some education on the process that is in the AFA Constitution and Bylaws under "recall" of Local Officers. (Any member can request a Constituion and Bylaws either from their local or AFA International to be sent to you.):

The only avenue for recall of local officers is through petition of 30% of the members of Local base or motion for a special meeting for the purpose of a recall at your NEXT local 70 meeting.

Trust, they will drag their feet to hold a meeting for fear of a motion for a special meeting to be scheduled for the purpose of a recall.

If members get 30% signatures from their members, that will prompt the AFA International Secretary/treasurer to conduct a special meeting of the local for the purpose of a recall.

Remember, you need NO reason to prove or allege for a "recall" of any elected union rep.

The only "recall" the MEC at the table can motion and conduct is the recall of MEC Officers. The 6 LEC presidents are the only voting members of the MEC and they have the power collectively to "recall" only MEC Officers (LEC presidents are not MEC officers)

Anly recall of the local officers are motioned and performed by the members of that base.

***QUESTION***

One thing I have not been able to decipher from this thread is whether or not East has a scheduling program that allows FAs to see the monthly schedule of other FAs.
West's program allows you to look at the schedule of another FA, unless they have 'restricted' their line.
Union officers generally do not 'restrict' their line in order to avoid appearing like they are hiding something.

PITbull mentioned that the former 66prez was being reimbursed from union funds for meal expenses claimed while on a trip earning perdiem already from the company.
That is double-dipping.
It is unethical and abusive.

If union officers have their schedules available it should be easy to prove or disprove accusations.

And for this very reason, the union reps should have no problem giving full disclosure to their members. After all, these positions are elected positions for the purpose of member representation. They are beholding to the membership and eithical practice, honesty, and credibility are important, if in question.

At their next local meeting, a full 12 months of pay hours should be shown and revealed if requested by the members.

They should not be defensive or argumentative on this subject. If they refuse and don't believe they have an obligation on any level to reveal their flying hours to the membership... put it in your memory, and take them out at next election.

All Locals MUST (according to the AFA C&B) have a union meeting before the AFA Annual Board of Directors meeting in October.

I think that the answer would be no. The primary and secondary lines can be pulled up, but then there is SAP (scheduling adjustment period) when primary block holders fine tune their schedules. Then comes the ETB (electronic trade board) where anyone can pick-up and drop to further change their schedules. AND THEN, there's personal swaps, where we exchange trips individually. Management can pull up anyones monthly schedule, but it would be off-limits to other F/As since personal screens are password protected.

Except for management viewing. They own the screens and the program. Certain managment individuals must have seen the screens and printed them, then passed it to individual f/as.

Now its a concern to many. It is a known that union reps can manipulate their schedules under the ospice of "union work". If there is abuse in this arena, managment is the one to expose it. Why? Because they provide the company flight pay loss to the MEC to be distributed to the locals etc.. its contractual and therefore negotiated for union reps for the purpose of union work. Anyone can deduce that 105 equates to 21 days a month. Are these reps giving 21 days a month soley for the purpose of union work? The answer is easy. You can't fly ETB trips, and gain an extra 60-70 hours via ETB and work union days to also include the 21 days necssary to lgitimize 105 co. fpl. Each average day is worth 5 hours. Do the math.

For that reason, the union members who elect their representatives, who have the ability to manipulate their schedules when the average f/a can not during the month they are in....full disclosure should be given without question or hesitation.

This is a credibility issue, and full disclosure should be offered to the membership if requested.

Just like, when the VP of PHL asked you to reveal to the MEC that you had cut a personal deal with Jerry Glass, and you refused.

Pot, meet Kettle.

Well now, that system dosen't sound to user-friendly to the work group as a whole.
In that case, a FA should be able to go into the LEC office and view copies of the officers' current schedules on request.
