I have heard that Grace and Omar would sit at the reserve table as it is called and campain.
In Omar's case, this is true. I have seen her and her 100 or so cards spread out across the OPR table and listened to her as she answered questions about her relationship with crew scheduling and why she should be elected, etc.
The sad thing is in most local elections people will vote for their friends whether they are qualified and capable is irrevelant. They will also vote for the person that is shoving a postcard in their face because they don't know anyone running. You don't have to know anyone running to make an informed decision. If the company had a problem with it they should of put of stop to it that day. I highly doubt there is anything that can be done about it at this point. Of course, there is always the recall process. This is against company policy, and, against campaining rules. Someone needs to tell JMC this, she can be thrown out if enough witnesses come forth and tell that she was 'illegally' campaining on company property.
OMG, the company is looking at this election and laughing all the way to the negotiations table....with the exception of John and Rick, the vp and sec/tres are NOT qualified.
And you will always be a nasty bitter person. What's your next point of drivel? Isn't it cocktail time in ATL?
This comment just got the poster 5 days off. Anyone care to join him?

Who would be the appropriate person to file a complaint? and why would they go to John Mc.? Would there not be a federal agency that would be more appropriate (read: less subject to manipulation)?Yes, Omar is a union rep in PHL and also an inflight standards coach. Way to go AFA/CWA for allowing a union member to be both a union officer and a representative of management. Omar should be tossed out for illegal campainging and someone should call John Mc.

The amount of people that actually voted is a great disappoinment in my book but you're right---you do get what you pay for and the next time someone's moaning on the j/s I'm going to ask them who they voted for or if they even voted. With all due respect Missthe727 while I TOTALLY agree with you I think it should be as it may. Reign her in? She was voted in by the limited percentage of the "membership" who voted. Now we must LIVE WITH IT. LIVE with the ineptitude. Take a second and think for a moment what the company must be thinking with their high priced and educated lawyers and negotiators. It's a crack up really. NOBODY wanted to vote and the few that did let their voices be heard. So I say, "Yo get whatchyo pay foe" in all it's glory. Actually....I love it.![]()
