FAs get 10% 401k company contribution, and we are being offered 9% match. No offense but a FA doesn't need an education or does it require a license to get hired into their profession. Not to mention the responsibility in involved. If you notice, it says better then what we currently have, as far as holidays, well anything is better then what we certainly have, same with shift diff. we get .01 cent now, not to hard to beat that. What kind of pay raises every year? is it .5% for 6 years then a 2% raise for a year, then we entered negotiations for what will drag on for 5 years? This info is almost useless and insulting. IMO
WRONG!!!!! Please go and read the APFA CBA before making a comment about what they get or don't get.
I was wrong, I asked a FA, she doesn't remember what they get, but she knows it's not 10%. TY WeAA for correcting me, I went by memory which wasn't the correct thing to do.

Hey W, post that on Jetnet...last time I posted a video on Jetnet I got moderated
and it was taken down. 🙂
Over the years I'd say it's that we can not stick together when it's absolutely necessary. We are a large group mixed in with other work groups and can not effectively help ourselves separate from other groups. Some of our work has been moved to other work groups over the years. Under the same union representing the group that now does our work. We continue to lose work to other groups on the property, domestic outsourcing and off shoring to South America. We have shown over time to the company we are incapable of protecting our work. The company will continue to pound us. This needs to stop. I don't know how. In regards to flight crews, flight attendants and pilots are their own groups and unions. Their union structure is better organized and suited to deal with the company in tough times. No one is perfect but as you said they got a 6% raise without asking or fighting for it. We should try a well proven concept in M&E.Remember when Doug just went ahead and gave the FAs a 6% raise because UAL was taking too long to negotiate their FAs contract.
Has anybody ever heard why AA's executives have so little regard for mechanics?
Like I said in the fleet thread. Pretty good rebuttal, but had the company not put that letter out, we would still be in the dark.Including a 4 page rebuttal letter on the Local 591 website and Facebook page.
