Director''s Update - ALL VOTING SUSPENDED - 04-09-03

April 9, 2003

TO: All TWU Members
RE: Full Text on Tentative Agreements
Dear Sisters & Brothers:
We are unable to provide the full text language of the tentative agreements at this time. We are in dispute with American Airlines, Inc. over what was agreed to by our Committees at the time of the Tentative Agreement.
Until such time that we have full text language available, for our members to review, we are suspending all voting.
Thank you for your understanding.
Sincerely, & fraternally,

James C. Little
Director Air Transport Division
Intl. Administrative Vice President

Gary Yingst
AA System Coordinator
Vice President

The $#!+ just hit the fan because UAL baggage handlers just got a better deal than ours did, in of all places BANKRUPTCY!!!!!!

Hm!

That answers a big question...

Now the question becomes: Does AA extend the deadline on the carrot, or do they just go ahead and file for bankruptcy?

TANSTAAFL

I notice they fail to mention a "Temporary Restraining Order" filed in Federal Court.

They also fail to mention the requirement for "Full Language" to be in our hands for 30 days prior to voting. The Lapdogs were in a such a hurry to cater to AA, they disregarded their own Constitution and By-Laws.

UN-Friggen-Believable

Even you management types out there have to understand why we are frustrated now!

The TWU ATD is reporting that all voting is stopped because there is no language for their members to read!

Extend the deadline or change the terms. Either way they are exposed as liars.

i for one never thought that the TWU had it in them to take a stand against the company
it is about time

amerigojfk,

The TWU is not taking a stand out of the goodness of their hearts. They violated their Constitution and Bylaws ramrodding this thing through. They were in very real danger of losing at both the ballot box and in Court.

Question;

Do any of us think that AA thinks that the FEDS will grant(the crown jewel of codeshares) to a carrier in BK-11 ??

----------------

Please. This isn''t the crown jewel by any means. Plus, DOT doesn''t care if we''re in bankruptcy or not. They just care that we''re still fit to keep our operating certificate.
