Not ashamed, it just doesn't matter. You can do the math if you wish. 12 years east equals approx 5 years on the west. And it still doesn't matter.

"And it still doesn't matter" To you perhaps 😉 Let me know how you feel after another 7 years, otherwise known as twice your time plus 2 years.

It was a non-starter with the company, so why bother? The company will only sign a single joint contract.

Jeeze. Why let the "company" set criteria? Let them choke, a little.

This may be why some don't trust people like you. Always ready with the excuses, covering the company's tutu. If they want to be players, make them ante up.

Been there and done that already, I got over it. You boys enjoy your evening, I am going to watch the game.

People who live in glass houses.............

Let's see, over the same time period I can remember a USAir Captain terminated for having his girlfriend not only in the cockpit, but in a pilots seat during a landing. Another was arrested for running over his girlfriend with a truck. Two USAir pilots were terminated, then subsequently reinstated for "indiscretions" at TSA checkpoints. One of them is a USAPA volunteer. 700UW thinks ALL the USair pilots scabbed when they crossed an IAM picket line back in the 90's. There's more, but I think you get the point.

USAir pilots were once at the top of the industry in pay and contractual benefits. It wasn't ALPA National that led that group to the bottom. You guessed it. It was the USAirways pilots that led the charge, most notably by 57% of them voting for LOA 93.

Bottom line 924 former PSA pilot on the A330 now. You were given super seniority on the List in 1989 when Usairways bought PSA. They left the routes got rid of the planes and gates and kept your lucky fat ass on the pilot list by date of hire, while you counter parts at AIR Cal were put on the bottom of the American Airlines pilot seniortity list.

You live in California, fly international in Phl and you got yours. You are a coward sir.

If you've 17+ years line flying, I've full respect for that. The "I brought a job" BS doesn't strike any chord though.

Enjoy the game/Have a good one.

Alot of those RJ's have USAirway's paint jobs.

Looks like USAirways outsourced a lot of jobs by ALPA weakening their scope. How many former USAirways Pilot, F/A, MTX, Agent/Ramp jobs are now being staffed by a Mesa/Republic/Air Wisconsin employees?

Your are a Usairways, pilot 924 PSA airlines employee. You voted the outsourcing in to save your hinder. Are you aware that america west had no scope clause on regional jets.

Hi EastUS. I just want to make sure I understand the preceeding and am not trying to put words in your mouth or miscontrue them. Are you saying that someone on furlough (East) at the time of the merger should have obtained a position at the expense of someone who was employed and working (West) at the time of the merger?

Thanks.

That's incorrect regarding the AWA contract.

Excuses, no. Experience, yes. And not everyone enjoys beating their head against a wall for no good reason. Negotiation is a two way street. The one-way street is called extortion, and it has not demonstrated any positive results so far.

No. I've no thoughts that bumping anyone from a seat is at all appropriate.

Any "wall" is only properly tested by direct pressure, and shouldn't be assumed to be firmly in place just because it looks tough. Negotiation's indeed a two way street, but establishing artifically pre-set, notional limits on what's achievable is a fool's errand, and a fine prescription for failure. I can't say how many times I've heard Alpo sorts offer: "We can't ask the company for that".....sigh...I'd love to play poker with you guys 😉

"The one-way street is called extortion". Only by the losing party 😉 For that matter: Any rebellion's termed "treason"..unless it's successful, at which time it's heralded as Victory. Perhaps your experience hasn't shown you much of the latter......

I lean more towards Richard Bach's take = "Argue for your limitations and sure enough...they're yours" 😉 In my life; I've always it preferable to let the world show me what cannot be accomplished..rather than not try, and ensure failure. "Walls" can be quite deceptive at times 😉 I'll submit the current east-west debacle as sad evidence. "You won't even get 200 cards"..."It's OVER!!"/etc. Up untill very recently; you guys were having a virtual victory celebration here in the thought that the Alpo/Nic "wall" was impervious to any/all assault.

The "I brought a job" BS doesn't strike any chord though.

Your assertion that the jobs the West Pilots brought to the merger, and "held" by them the day before the merger, did not belong to them and can therefore be given to you is ridiculous. I'm not surprised reality doesn't strike a chord with you.

To answer your earlier question, I was a A320 F/O blockholder (50%) the day before the merger and I am a A320 F/O blockholder (50%) on the combined seniority list.

I make no such assertion, nor have I ever, that states that I think that any AWA position should be up for east grabs... See the above, now below re-post for the remedy of your apparent lethargy as per actually following this, or any previous thread:

"I was a A320 F/O blockholder" I do apologize for my earler uncharitable assumptions that you were better placed on the list and thusly, purely self interested. Imho: Everyone could use, and will eentually get a raise...but: I'm not disposed towards selling out those junior..even such few as yourself that seem amenable to the idea. I've no interest in displacing any of the west folks either. It'd be fun to fly Honolulu shuttles..but that isn't my right...it's their flying. I don't feel that they should take an east left seat ahead of you if they've far less time on the job....period.
