What's your acceptable number of dead kids in Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles, etc?

In the last two weeks, we've seen a seven year old killed in a drive-thru at a Chicago McDonalds and a three year old in Miami was killed at his own birthday party...

There's also been a one year old, six year old and seven year old hit by gunfire just in Miami over the last year...

In Chicago, it's six kids shot in seven weeks (three died including the girl at the drive thru).

I suspect I know why you don't want to focus on those...it breaks your narrative.

But hey, here's one literally in your own backyard, KC...

Brian Derek Henderson.... a sixth grader killed in Leavenworth. A six month old in another car hit by the same gunfire was uninjured.

If you're really concerned, feel free to drop a donation to help the family bury their son.

Okay bud....Chicago is a bigger issue....what to we do to fix the issue in Chicago. That apparently happens way more than mass shootings and 20 some dead elementary school kids is a small price to pay for your right to own a gun designed to kill as many of them as they can in as short a time as possible.. And this is like the fourth time you brought up Chicago.. So how do we fix Chicago? Why do you guys only seem concerned about Chicago when someone brings up a mall shooting in El Paso? But by your own admission, Chicago is a bigger problem. How do we fix it?"

You and all your like minded liberal politicians fixate on 'assault' weapons and high capacity magazines, when, in fact, they have little, or nothing to do with the issue?

Why is that?

You do know the majority of gun deaths are from self inflicted wounds, don't you?

So why are we so fixated on rifles, now called assault weapons, which really aren't, yet your media has fed you another misinformation campaign, once again for an obvious agenda.

'Assault' weapons are one of the, if not ,the most popular firearms

in the country. So you have a large portion of the populace, armed to the teeth, well within their constitutional rights, to be the 'balance' for tyranny.

And our government is doing their best to limit and confiscate these weapons.

Why would a legitimate form of government fear armed citizens?

Huh. Not a single word about the gun death in Kansas City?

Guess that shows where your heart and priorities are, KC....

That's because Chicago seems to be the gun crime capitol of the country.

I'd say 183 gun deaths and 195 homicides four months into the year is a pretty damning statistic.

Year to Date
Shot & Killed: 183
Shot & Wounded: 828
Total Shot: 1011
Total Homicides: 195

How to fix Chicago?...

More policing.

More immigration enforcement. Deport the cartel influences and others without citizenship who have grossly violated their welcome in this country.

Designate gangs as domestic terrorists. That gets more help from DHS and the FBI to help infiltrate and dismantle the gang networks nationwide.

Bring back capital punishment in Illinois... The violence has only increased since it was abolished because there's little consequence and prison is like Club Med to most of those convicted.

To KC's inevitable "thoughts and prayers" nonsense about not going after their guns.... they already have their guns illegally. I don't think more laws will work given how many they already violate.

Here's the bios of some folks who gave more in your right to bear arms than any gun nut ever will.

To KC, those 26 Sandy Hook lives apparently matter more because they were all white, while the 183 from Chicago this year are mostly brown or black.

Start killing white people, and suddenly guns are the problem?...

That's the hypocrisy when it comes to Liberals and their war on "gun nuts"...

WAPO:

Nearly 300 children were shot and killed in 2020, according to Gun Violence Archive data, a 50 percent increase from the previous year. More than 5,100 kids and teens 17 and younger were killed or injured last year — over 1,000 more than any other year since 2014, when the website began tracking it.Mar 23, 2021

Thoughts and prayers.

Will they do 'universal background checks' on a guy that knows he can't pass one and buys one in a parking lot or a bar?
You do know if a person who has prior legal issues and is found not to be able to purchase a firearm and attempts to, just bought a free ride back to the joint, don't you?

Again, another law/requirement against law abiding citizens...what about the real criminal?

When are they going to approach the issue of criminals committing crimes with firearms and not further restricting law biding citizens?

At the same time Liberals want restrictions on legal gun owners, they'll push for Bail Reform that literally hands the guy busted for a gun crime a "get out of jail free" card and Policing Reform that handcuffs police instead of the people committing the crime.

YEp...somebody might buy one in a parking lot at a bar, so let's do nothing. You know...it might stop SOME from buying one at a bar and taking it to ...gasp...Chicago. And it's already been suggested to crack down on criminals in Chicago, so why not extend that crackdown to include bar parking lot gun sellers. You STILL haven't offered up one single thing to stop mass shootings or even one thing to stop a teenager from being shot and killed (even outside of the Chicago city limits). You just point out the flaw in ANY suggestion...and because it isn't 100% perfect - dismiss it completely.

Uh, the gang bangers are already buying them in parking lots... and will continue to do so regardless of any new background check laws.

In Illinois, you're required to have a Firearm Owner ID issued by the State Police to buy ammunition or even possess a firearm. The bangers don't care.

Getting a FOID in Illinois? Good luck. It's taking 6-9 months to process an application, so someone who fears for their life can't even buy a firearm for their protection unless they had the foresight to apply for a FOID ahead of time.

It's lunacy, but hey, that's what Liberals thought would keep people safer. Instead, it's made everyone without a FOID an easier target.

Again....a master of pointing out everything that is wrong...but still not a single thing to reduce the number of homocides...single, two...10 or 26 people. Nothing. But it's nice to know that you'd like enforcment stepped up against the gang bangers, but really don't address the guys in the parking lot selling guns.

It would be nice to equate the restrictions on driving a car to the lack of restrictions to own a gun. And we are told that driving is a privilege and not a right. But voting is a right...just like owning a gun. Except to vote, I have to register. To vote, I have to have a card. Many states are changing the laws so that if I want to vote, I have to get a photo ID. I have to jump thru hoop after hoop to cast a vote. But in many "constitutional carry" states, I can buy a gun (with zero training) and anything else is punishing law abiding citizens. Why are we so willing to punish so many law abiding citizens for something that is even rarer than a school yard shooting (voter fraud)? How come you guys are supporting of THAT infringement of a persons rights?
