With all due respect then you guys need to get out in an official update out with fine tooth details on why this is the chitty deal that it is otherwise you’ll get the mad dash demand to vote.Even I can see that why your bosses can’t is beyond me.You guys are letting this happen.
Rat
Your IAM. How many details do you need being IAM other than your losing your insurance, and they are taking jobs. Just those two details alone, does that make it a chitty agreement to you? Or do you think the latest changes are good for the IAM? Of course the latest changes look pretty good to our twu brothers, I understand that. That’s exactly what the company’s goal is, is to sweeten it for the twu side so they will demand it come out for a vote.

And this right here is why it will always be an issue. Is the company taking advantage of it, of course. What are they taking advantage of, this mess called the Association where disagreements will always be there. From the inside to the out.

Sorry Charlie, this was mentioned and predicted from the first day the Association was announced. Nobody should be surprised. AA is using every tool available to them, just like the Association would be doing if they had any.

Who said we were surprised. And if you would go back probably a couple years ago now, I actually stated that if I was TWU and had the majority of the numbers of the combined group, I would be upset the association was developed too. But for the IAM side, we didn’t have much of a choice because we didn’t have the numbers. But I don’t sit around and complain about what if’s. I move forward and try to make the best of things.

CB just to let you know. I’m on 3 mainly TWU FB Fleet Group pages. And there’s been no clamoring or storming the Fort to vote on this new little sweetening of the propaganda from the Company. I know you’re on at least one yourself so take a look.

Same thing on those Jetnet comments. Again still overwhelmingly negative towards the Company.

The majority gets what’s going on here.

Charlie, as long as you continue to use things such as " Most of my post are directed to the IAM side since they elected me to be their voice", division will remain.

A little bit of bull there Charlie. If you were in our (TWU) position, you would have some complaint in you as well.
If I were you and the IAM Charlie, I would have less complaint in me as well.
What is the Association doing to make the best of things Charlie. I have asked many times. What is our leverage and what is the gameplan. Even PRez absolutely feels section 6 is in the cards. Charlie, the TWU really loses in that situation as we "sit around" while you guys continue with the nice contract. Put yourself in our shoes before you complain about complainers. You know, just as we are told to the heavy hit your members would take if you lost your retirement and especially medical. It works both ways Charlie.

Also keep in mind. If it was up to several posters on here, we would have already voted on the first offer by the company, and not even been offered these latest improvements.

Let's vote then, again the overwhelming NO vote will give us so much leverage. I have no problem with that, why do others here? Voting is action, action is what we lack!

How would that vote have turned out. I'm thinking it would have been a disaster for the company. Leverage for the Association!

Maybe your not understanding what I’m saying. I stated IF I was TWU I would be upset about the association. And I do know where your coming from. I’ve been there twice in my 36 years. I know you are under a bankrupt contract. We are there for everyone. But I was put there by the IAM to stand firm on our issues. But that doesn’t mean we on the IAM side aren’t fighting like hell to get you twu guys up to everything we have and then some. Like 10 holidays and double time and a better retirement. All I mean is that obviously because where you guys are sitting now, things are going to look much better to your side than they are our side. However, that doesn’t mean I’m going to quit fighting for what our members tell me to fight for.

That’s your opinion, and while I would agree with you, there are many that thinks it would have passed. Just to big of a risk to take.

I clearly understand what you are saying, Charlie. clearly.

As for that first vote, if we are going by folks here who use Jetnet polls, no way Charlie, no way!

Like I said. I don’t disagree with you. But many do.
Look the bottom line is we think we can do better than the last offer. We have to do better than the last offer. Now some will call BS to that, but they would have called BS that the latest improvements would be made also.

I'll stop arguing Charlie, just let me know what is next. The Association seems pretty quiet on that.
