Prez, what are you referencing? We have been told that there will be no displacements PERIOD. When asked we were told that if someone is full time, such person will not be displaced to part time AT HIS/HER station. You are saying that TWU members will be reduced to part time. That is contradictive to what the company is communicating with us. Not calling you a liar but both you and the company can't be telling the truth. Kindly give us the language you are referencing otherwise it's all bull chit from you and/or the company. Sorry.

Tim,

"‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍In an effort to address those concerns, this week we proactively proposed adjustments to our March comprehensive to the Association. These changes are intended to further increase wages, guarantee we continue to insource more maintenance and fleet service work than anyone else in the industry, and ensure that everyone who has a job today will continue to have a job at their station in their BASIC classification."

"‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍Station protection systemwide – Job protection is key and we have also adjusted the comprehensive proposal so that no one will have to move as a result of the new agreement. If you have a job in your station today, you’ll have a job in your station tomorrow."

Now, those are 2 quotes from the company letter above, I have to ask you if you believe that if they cut 25% flying to or from a station or used the 40% PT provision, if an employee working in one of those stations, wouldn't be forced to transfer to hold FT or even PT?

PREZ....can you explain BASIC CLASSIFICATION please?

Per our current CBA, Lead(PT or FT) and Agent(PT or FT). Per this fluff letter the company put out, I don't know. Remember, they aren't negotiating with the NC, they are throwing stuff against the wall to see if it sticks.

Thanks,
So that is why you are saying FT may get forced to PT because if you are a FT agent or a Crew Chief you could be forced to PT agent or PT crew chief ( if we have PT CC in JCBA).
Dang...the hidden meanings behind the words.

Possibly, again, the company isn't negotiating with the NC, but common sense says they will use the language they get. We have all been on NC's many times and know what to look for, that's why I'm posting this stuff.

Note: One could be made to transfer to keep FT, or stay in their station as PT.

My “BASIC CLASSIFICATION” is currently Fleet Service Clerk.

My “STATUS” is currently Full Time.

Before the Bankruptcy I was “Full Time Status System Protected” where it meant if I was laid off the Company had to guarantee me a job somewhere in the System in my protected Status.

“If you have a “””job””” in your station today, you’ll have a “””job””” in your station tomorrow."

If the Company was specific about “Station” and “Status” Protection then we could breath more a sigh of relief.

Your perceived message could be you will accept the company's proposal without regard for your bargaining agent's recommendation or the negotiation process. Deliver that message and the company has played you and laughs all the way to the bank. Back to the table. Back to collective bargaining negotiations AA!

Your reading comprehension needs some work.
Where did I say, in ANY of my posts,I'd vote FOR anything?
Answer: No where.

I've said : Show us ALL OF IT.
Then let us vote.
If it's total crap we can move things along much faster if the company knows we all voted it down.
If it gets voted in then , well, thats the democratic process, which unions are all about..try and keep up.

So WEAAS.. it looks to me like you could interpret TWU BASIC CLASSIFICATION the same way as PREZ explained IAM BASIC CLASSIFICATION

I should have added....since there was no mention of “status” in their “supposal”

I 100% interpret BASIC CLASSIFICATION to mean either Full Time or Part Time with no distinction. And I’m 100% positive that’s exactly what the Company means.

One only needs to read the definition of the word “Basic” to understand the meaning.

Full negotiating committees sat with Company on 12/03/15.. presented company with comprehensive proposal.
First actual negotiating session started 01/11/16

Some more food for thought...
We've now been in "Expedited Executive Level Negotiations" for 6 months longer than the initial negotiations.

No Business negotiating???
You do realize they were elected to represent their members don’t you?

I guess it still needs to be repeated:
NONE of us voted for our current representation : The Association.
That is at the root of the problem.

Two different directions??? I don’t see that.
IAM is ABSOLUTELY pulling for SCOPE...
The TWU is ABSOLUTELY pulling for RETIREMENT and HEALTHCARE.
Both IAM and TWU want the best retirement PACKAGE for members. Whether that is PENSION or 401K MATCH or Combo of BOTH..
BOTH Also WANT best MEDICAL that can be negotiated.

"IAM is ABSOLUTELY pulling for SCOPE."

Completely Disagree. Where was the LUS -IAM at last year when the TWU was doing information picketing concerning the Outsourcing of Our Jobs.

In fact the only IAM support I saw at DFW was the General Dynamics Lodge 776 . [No LUS-IAM to be found]

Are you saying that you would be ok with LUS keeping their current medical and LAA keeping theirs?
If that goes on the table and the Twu is ok with that....I agree this will pass NO PROBLEM AT ALL ( especially if the scope gets enhanced a bit more.....catering and/or add stations)
But if that does go out will the TWU members not feel like they just lost the lottery?
I certainly would....
Bob, if you speak for the majority of TWU on the medical piece, I believe a deal CAN and WILL get done.
LMAO. Thank you for that RX. Bob speaks for Bob as he was the sole person on here that loved the last offer prior to these added monies recently from co. He loved the "other" offer.
