American Airlines and Labor Negotiations

I don't think the LAA policy allows the equivalent of 3 doubles in a row to be worked whether you are part time or full time. I could be wrong though. In hubs PT does not get day off OT, but I hear in smaller stations they do. There is a 40 hour requirement before the day off OT is paid as OT and not extra straight time hours.

You are correct about doubles, but you can do 14 hours on that third day if you work a 6hr PT shift...

Hey anyone know where the Oil Price Chickens ran off to? LMFAO.

U.S. crude futures were at $66.47, down $1.41, after hitting a six-week low of $65.80.

oil got under $66/barrel today, at $66 now.

down 10% in 2 weeks? if the recent fare price increase holds and the oil stays between $60-$65/barrel, aa may surprise on q2 '18??

LUS Pt do get day off OT premium rates if 40 hr qualifier is met or Over 8 hours in a day is also OT premium rate. This of course does not include trade hours.

Trade hours do count toward the 40 hour qualifier for LAA. Do you know what happens at LUS if a pt employee is scheduled say 5 hours and then picks up a concurrent 5 hour shift for a total of 10 concurrent hours and then is held over by the company? Is that OT starting after the 10 hours or can they be held 3 hours at straight time because they are only scheduled 5 hours?

Now this I like a lot!
The way I heard is ...TOS date of signing with yearly increase at x%. If that % does not keep us at TOS then we would get 1% above highest in industry in lieu of the agreed upon yearly %. Whichever is GREATER.
Example only....at DOS
AA $30.00. Delta/UA $29.00
AA Yearly increase date we get 2% increase to
AA $30.60.
Delta/United is now $31.00
We would get 1% over $31.00 = 31.31

I'd hope they are, but they've been partnered with/tolerated Menzies for years in all kinds of stations.

dl sends 1 AM and 1 PM guy to the intl. terminal in my station..just to bring back dl interline bags.

dl is not responsible for getting them, but the ground handlers that handle an air india or a klm, will not bring the dl bags over. dl had enough of the burned bags and became pro-active. it's good, because 2 shifts were created to handle the former mess.

soon, alaska will no doubt do the same. they will send a menzies guy to pick up alaska bags because those that are supposed to run them over, refuse to do so. the airlines don't push it, because there's a reason the low-cost companies exist in the first place, the airlines themselves, want them.

the only way i see it turning, is if more and more of these workers are caught stealing/pilfering.

If that is what they TA'd then I am not holding out much hope for other so-called improvements and the people negotiating probably should not be in the room. smh.
So the IAM and their NC will not allow anything that will harm their members to be T/A'd, while the TWU agreed to T/A an item that has the potential of negatively affecting many TWU members and is actually an item picked from the LUS side that is worse than LAA's. I personally don't use it much so it's not a deal breaker, but many folks do.
If I'm wrong, anyone feel free to correct me, I can handle it.

Is this the same PREZ that you bash and argue with on here and the same PREZ that you say voted for the UA agreement?
If so,,,,are you taking CREDIT or BLAME for him getting a DISTRICT JOB???
By the way.... I heard that you recommended CB for a District Job also.
He got CB, and the entire team we currently have on the IAM side elected. He was instrumental in convincing everyone that the entire IAM Team at the time was crooked, and in cahoots with the Company, We carefully chose, and vetted the current officers for the replacement ticket on integrity, honesty, and humbleness...
Incidentally, these are the very same officers that are currently working on our agreement today.

Now... low and behold, he is AGAIN claiming that ALL of these folks are "Crooked, and in cahoots with Company"...

He is all about disrupting solidarity, especially at critical times in negotiations... (like now)...

His motive is simple -- DIVIDE AND CONQUER!

>SPIT<

you bring up a good point...but, you can't say it was picked over the twu's, because our CS policy was never contractual.

i'm not a big CS guy either, but i was told early on, to expect a CS policy exactly like the ticket agents policy...from late 2015?

Crema, I get where you are coming from, you want the abuse stopped. It's the old adage, a few people ruin it for us all. I'm just trying to make a point, that's all.

I hear ya, but contractual or policy, both had wording. Apparently from the rumors, our wording was better.

Interesting about the CS creating a short turn...haven’t paid those in DFW in over a year with arbitration pending...

It isn't the CS that creates the short turn, it is the OT in conjunction with the CS that actually creates the short turn.

If there is a CS in the system that has 9 hours in between shifts and the Company holds me on OT after those hours were put in the system, then the OT is what created the shortfall of less than 7.5 hours to trigger the short turn.
