OK TWU, you have outlined the negatives in the "proposal". I have asked the IAM what leverage do we have to improve on any of those negativity's, and what is the plan. I read updates day after day and can till the cows come home, but I have yet to see how things will be rectified. So far it's sit and wait. Again, you the TWU have nothing to gain and actually lose a bunch in section 6, and that other union (IAM) will retain what they have and be OK at least through section 6. It's time to stop calling this an Association and call it what it really is, two separate unions.
I keep telling you AA guys our LUS and LAW pilots never had a joint contract. This will go on for years.Does anyone see a way out?It seems they are digging in deeper and deeper

513 is catching a lot of heat from members. I heard today that members in AUS was pushing the TWU about the Association and how to get out of it. The letter to membership brings up many good points. There can be many lemons dropped in with the good stuff. I think most people want to be informed about just how bad is the bad stuff. The company doing what they have done has incited many members. I think the TWU is going to have to let people know just how bad the bad stuff is. It seems the large majority of people feel if the union won't answer the company statements with facts we should vote on it to see it. When we did not have a say in voting for the Association the union lost a lot of trust from the membership.[/

MEDICAL that doesn’t cost you an arm and a leg either in premiums, co-pays, deductibles or all 3 is a HUGE gain. What about the outsourcing of work? That is another HUGE gain. Better retirement, wages that keep us at TOS, all gains

So because the old Jim Little and Tom Buffenbarger teams didn’t do the right thing and let us vote for the Association now we should grasp this with all its trap doors and make a run for it just so we can say we voted?

Sorry you’re starting to lose me here.

Oh and I think the TWU (513) just let you know how bad things are. Wouldn’t you agree?
Yes it's quite obvious and all the things they mentioned are important. The point I was making is the TWU is going to have to do something about the irate membership. I've never seen it like this before. Hopefully some progress will be made and things calm down. Most of the people who are upset have a lot of seniority from what I've seen so it's disappointing to see this.

Tim why has the IAM not had success with with organizing DL in any classification despite multiple attempts in past decade? Send your organizing leadership at 141 is more effective than what the GL is putting out.

Josh
they have no idea what they are doing. Monkeys. 10 years prior to my team and zero. 3 years with my team and 45,000 members. We never lost. Now a big goose egg over the last 4 years despite spending millions. They cant even get to a election

DL stews are better off seeking another union until I get in.

Delta ramp all gets contracted out but if im in then we will fight in court and win, provided DL understands.

Jetblue ramp is really risky. First off, if i or sito won that ramp, all employees would immediately get contracted out. The difference will be that Sito wont fight. He never does. If the Jetblue ramp understands the risk, ill fight for them and win in court with the best attorneys, and not cut a deal like Sito that could give the iam jfk but all new hires.

Racer, you are preaching to the choir, sir. All the things you mentioned are definitely wanted, for sure. But my question was and has been what is the plan to achieve that. What leverage do we have. I ask the Association, no response. I ask the IAM didn't get clarity. And now that the TWU has fired back with their update, I ask them the same. I will wait on a response. Again, I hear ya, I just haven't seen any action. Section 6 seems like the probable next step.

I dont see how any progress can be made I seriously dont.It doesnt seem like either side will bend with the medical and that is what is probably pissing off LAA

I’m sorry but I don’t know where you work that I’m not seeing this flaring anger? Are these very old birds who are afraid that they might lose that Golden Parachute?

Jetnet comments: Nope. Not seeing the “frustration” there?
Multiple Facebook Group pages, crickets?
My Ramp MIA, sorry. A little of the same daily grumbling and that’s it?

I wish I could find all these Red Tomato heads that some say are out there? I just ain’t finding them?

There will probably be a final offer made and a decision by Association to send out for a vote or not...Then Section 6, if they decide against it, which will be tough to do just because of the consequences, not necessarily because of the content of a TA.

I tbink its more frustration than anger but I agree with NYer something will be put to vote in my opinion without a union recommendations

If the Company doesn’t back off a few of their positions I guess we take a NICE fun dive into the pool known as Section 6.

You want to vote on that PT language there buddy? C’mon speak up now.

Edit: And let em all be “frustrated” So what.

Hey those consequences for not getting a vote on the Association wound up being mighty severe weren’t they?

I still can’t believe how much blood was shed.
