I would hang on to those... Tim will need at least one for his post campaign road show theme music...
It think it reminds him of IAH...

post campaign mode? This is fun, i think im going to continue getting yearly elections until there is a fair one. All for the protection of our democratic rights.

You’re 100% right. Going to be at least 3 more years. Maybe even 4.
Sorry to hear that. Makes sense since your company is playing the exact same play book that our company has used on us.

LUS allows only two back-to-back full-time doubles due to safety and fatigue issues. 30-minute overlap policy is in writing (I think) as it doesn't require Management permission. Most trades (swaps) required to be completed 24 hours in advance as to provide adequate time for accurate staffing rooster (although it has been commonly allowed with written Management approval, but discouraged). To be sure, day-of trades are disallowed, thus swaps to cover sick-outs between trading partners aren't common.

If this is the policy we get it sounds like two back to back full doubles are not allowed to me. Fourteen hours does not a double make. Maybe I am not understanding what this means.

"Can only work 14 hours on consecutive days excluding meal periods."

We, LAA, only need four hours notice. This will be a huge change in a negative way. We have a lot of newer employees trying to hustle hours and calling around when they report to try to take the last couple hours for others. Going from 4 hours to 24 hours sucks and is unnecessary at least at the hubs I worked in.

I cannot speak for the people above the wing, but as a ramp agent I have worked plenty of back-to-back full-time shifts which with the lunch totaled to 17 hours on consecutive days. Also this was an open-secret "work around" to work up to 4 straight days of doubles using the end of the week and the beginning of the week trick. For example, double Sat and Sun, which ends the week, then work double Mon and Tues for beginning of week.

Ironically, as another poster mentioned, we cannot typically work more than two consecutive full-time doubles due to safety concerns unless Management requests coverage-- so much for the culture of safety.

Does anyone know what the new pay for Delta mechanics is? Just curious since that’s why the company is “offering”. I don’t want to hear about ignoring all of their retoric and it’s not a T.A. I know all of this. I’m just curious about what they’re at. TIA

$44.92 base as of 10-1-18. I believe their license pay is $5.00. So $49.92

What im long curious to know is why at LUS its limited to 1 back to back swap doubles yet virtually unlimited ot.

You won't make it... the NRTWA will be enacted long before you retire from old age attempting to force, and win union officer elections!

Not unless of course, you plan on running for Company endorsed positions within the Company...

Crema under that IAM language they can make an entire HUB PT and still have plenty of room to make PT all over the place. They can actually make a few HUBS PT and still be at a 40% Cap.

Thankfully they did TA some language that prevents some back to back shifts but they can still make some shifts back to back if they total over 9 hours. So they can make shifts that are 5 and 5 or 5 and 6 or even 6 and 6 and not violate the new contract.

since the aa P/Ters get the same benefits as aa F/Ters and the pensions are frozen where less hours = less pension..why in the world would the company be so hot for 6hr P/T shifts and 8hr F/T shifts are battery acid soup.

2hrs @$32.50/hr x 1,000 fscs = a drop in the $42 billion a year revenue bucket, for this company. bad weather, atc...you still need people for coverage.

i believe the company will bend on this 40% thing, so maybe we shouldn't get too hysterical. this will probably be part of the next sweetener??

gulfcoast, you sound like cs wheeler & dealer. in my station in the desired work areas, the new hires don't seek out CSs, they are told where to work and given CSs by a few F/Ters who have mastered the aa cs matrix.

the cs policy means nothing to me, i hope it doesn't harm you financially nor alter your quality of work life, when this new policy goes into effect.

Crema I’m taking no chances on something like this that I see as being potentially Nuclear. I advocated it out here and on Facebook and my Brothers back in DFW took up the Baton and ran with it thankfully 🙂

If you don’t create a stir to raise the profile on where the issues are the Company is going to think we have no issues with it and continue to pass it to our Negotiators.

Oh and BTW not every item should have a price tag attached to them and put out in the Yard for Sale. Should keep some Furniture in the House.

New “language” not “policy”

do you believe kerry and david? remember, they started their video soliloquy with, "we listened to you and here's the new and improved...".

i'm convinced our people have let the company know that 40% of all fleet is unacceptable.

as far as the rest, agreed. the company 'must-haves' have to have a price. we've talked about that.
