I agree which is why I am posting here so that maybe CB or Prez can remove some of the ambiguity. The overlap policy should be spelled out and not open to interpretation. That would make it better, but I don't like losing flexibility at all even though I don't do a lot of Cs's atm.

Cs,s or shift trades with a overlap of 30 min or less will be approved. Workbrain ( the system we will all go to ) will be programmed to accept these swaps. The reason the word “ may “ is in there, is in case there is some operational issue the company would have to not allow that individual swap. It is current language in the IAM contract, and like I said, since the workbrain system will be programmed to approve those, it will be no issue. Never has been a issue on our side. The company only gets involved if people request a swap after the cutoff time, which is 4pm

And as far as the back to back doubles. You will be able to work back to back doubles of more than 13 PAID hours once per work week. You can work unlimited back to back if it’s 13 paid hours or less.

Congratulations to the IAM today. Ride the momentum now.

“Anti-union ads, social media campaigns and a mea culpa from Boeing Co. executive Kevin McAllister weren't enough to sway flight line employees at the aerospace giant's North Charleston campus Thursday, as they voted for union representation in a big win for organized labor in the South.

Of the 169 flight line workers who cast ballots, 104 — or 61.5 percent — voted in favor of having the International Association of Machinists union represent them in collective bargaining.”

“They stood up to a Goliath of a company," said Mike Evans, the IAM's lead organizer. They were in a very nasty compaign where they attacked individuals. We stayed on course with education and opportunity and respect and dignity going forward, and here we are today with a win. We're very excited."

Local management has the flexibility to approve shift trades outside of deadline and won't be unreasonably withheld. The contract allows a deadline to be locally established.

gulfcoast, in other words, just become a huge kiss-a$$ and back-slap mngt....and you'll be ok.

lots of industrious employees have made their own work contracts with aa.

i also noticed that the squeaky wheel gets the oil around here. you ask the iam connection questions (how come the iam doesn't show up and question mngt., give me info about cs language), they answer you.

i asked if they knew what it costs aa for lus agents and what it costs aa to pay twu fleet service right now...and then how much it would cost aa to pay us both; after proposal #1 and proposal #2.

this way, we can see numbers if the proposals are indeed cost-negative/cost-neutral.

we'll see.

that latest equity update by Petersen sure sounded like more bullcrap. The TWU members ought to consider getting legal help to review the situation. There was so much BS in Gary's letter but at least he didn't do another video in his underwear.

I sure hope they remain in their 401 K Plan and don't get suckered into joining the IAMNPF.

I would agree with you Tim, but another lawsuit would yet again bring more delays, If the TWU plans to skim some off the top to full their coffers, well, we are powerless to do anything, but that doesn't prevent us from bringing some rotten tomatoes into the next union meeting and hurling them at the talking heads in the front of the room.

Dude your link is in regards to the PBGC which is a US Government entity created FOR, and BY Corporate Lobbyist to dump their pension obligations into. The plan has always been for the US taxpayer to underwrite the Corporate f-ing of their workers, and then to claim insolvency later to get out of even that obligation!

The IAM pension is NOT part of the PBGC, the COMPANY has used this to screw you, not the union!
The IAM/TWU did not file BK, abrogate your contract, and dump your pension into the PBGC...

Unions are non profits and can’t just “skim some off the top” And if any of the rock throwers were smart enough (They’re not) they can just monitor the yearly LM2’s and monitor all the expenses.
