The number was closer to 75. Would it surprise you that most of the Mechanics at the Tulsa Maintenance Base are 50+ yrs old and mostly Caucasians? Also, the average age is closer to 54-56 yrs old. Why did you even bring up Race? See how easy it is to bring out your true feelings of hate. Why did you call the African Americans, Black? We have people from all over the world working at the largest maintenance base in the system. Indians both from India and North America. Some from the Middle East, Women Mechanics, yes Licensed. There are Hispanics and African-Americans, one or two from Denmark since you asked, we have a few employees that have reIdentified.Do you hate them too? Tulsa is very diverse. There are a lot of mechanics from various places around the world.

Buck I needed to come back to this one more time to educate you.

Here in MIA we have Jamaicans, Haitians, Trinidadians, Africans and African Americans.

Now if you called any of those first 4 African Americans they would correct you RIGHT QUICK.

They don’t EVER want to be called African Americans because they thing African Americans are lazy.

Now if you ever actually speak to Black people (Yes they don’t mind being called Black) you might actually find this out? Then again maybe you don’t associate much with them? (You guys are the ones who had a meeting with 79 white guys, not me)

Does it make a difference? All groups must have a T/A before we can all vote.
We negotiatiate separate and then must wait for all other groups to finish. 30 + years later in the TWU and we are still in a fleet service union no matter how you sugar coat it.

Gary Peterson (AMT)
Sito Pantoja (AMT)
Tom Regan (AMT)
Alex Garcia (FSC)
Mike Mayes (FSC)
Tim Klima (PSA)

3 AMT’s to 2 Fleet Service. Just because you say something a thousand times doesn’t mean you speak the truth buddy.

I agree with the members having a vote before going to sec 6, however, when has this asso ever allowed these members to ever vote on anything?
Pretty sad if this whole time the NC has not seen an offer. Matter fact, if they have not, then why in the world are THEY being sent around to answer questions?? Wat too much secrecy with this asso if you ask me. No wonder the masses are in such confusion and no information. Pathetic Tim, just pathetic.
Swarat you are really pathetic, AMFA didn't give us a vote, before section 6, or mediation. We just now got our first vote in 6 years.looks like it will be defeated now one of your Dallas buddies leaked the info, but do tell the American guys what they should expect from their Association.

Question for all the TWU guys on here, is your station planning any thing in 9/12/2018? If so what.
We didn't even get our last update before our CBA becomes amendable. We are so totally in the dark when it comes to providing information to the membership other than we T/A'd this and T/A'd that. Some graph charts and which articles they exchanged waiting for a counter offer, etc.., etc..., etc... I believe the 12th will come and go and no one will even see it as a landmark date in our BK contract.

How in the world did he bring up race about nego's? Now that is just the lowest. I gotta ask you (as I have peeps on ignore) who was that that broke the race issue out??? I really don't wanna guess because I actually could see all I have on ignore doing such a despicable thing.

He asked me the Racial Mix of the Mechanics and I did use nor did here the term you used. Not more than a month ago, a couple of mechanics went to the Tool Room and the Stock Clerks gave them what they asked for, then the mechanics were leaving and one of them said something to the effect You boys have a nice weekend, with no intent for it to become a racial slur, but they were turned in to HR. After the investigation, no one lost their job as HR decided there was no malice. This type of environment is difficult to live under.

I try to use their name. and why does anyone need a label?

Buck it’s not about labels. It’s a fact that we Humans have different skin pigmentations and come from different ethnic backgrounds and are more comfortable with the different languages we were taught as children. It’s nothing to freak out about.

Like I said I just found the picture to be a little queer. (Queer meaning odd or strange)

I did not start that conversation. You attacked me because you did not see anyone having different "skin pigmentation" you assumed since I posted here that I run the whole drive and that is fine until you started breaching an area that my employer will dismiss the employee over the slightest infraction. It so happens that I am not a bleached human. I have seen it happen. Q. I knew what you meant.

Why is it that any time there is a week that they don’t get together or there isn’t an update people start running around saying there’s a stall?

But now that they’re on Scope there very well could be a stall?

Eventually on every item one side is going to have to give.

I guess nearly 3 years of negotiations is not long enough. As you like to repeatedly mention regarding AMFA/SWA talks, then we are at a normal pace.
So I will mention that UA/CO/IBT talks took around 5 years which makes normal airline/labor relations now in the 5-6 year range. It seems that this is where we are headed.
I do, however, see the company going ahead with their future planning regardless of JCBA negotiation, as is a normal strategy for any company. Whatever changes can be made under existing labor agreements, I believe will be made.
Let's not forget the grand opening of the Brazil hangar is upon us. That facility will be a beehive of activity before we know it.

LAA maintenance outsourcing is based on the "spend." The more they spend, the higher the outsourcing percentage.

they have not. Period. Sito tells them things. Gophers.

Buck you need to overdose on some Ritilin as you’re a little hyperactive there. It’s easier to quantify 4 demographics than hundreds if you haven’t figured that out. Would you like me to go through South American Country A to Z, Puerto Rico and Spain to converse about Spanish individuals?

Anyway I digress and aren’t interested in joining your little paranoia fest. Who Nelly, Cowboy needs to draw back on those reigns.

No not surprised at all that the majority are over 50 and “WHITE”. What does surprise me is that I see NO other representation of demographics at your meeting there?

Since you admittedly excluded IAM from your drive I’m just curious if you’re excluding others as well? It really is just a passing curiosity on my part and nothing more?

BTW there’s no Women there either? That’s one hell of a Boys Club you got going on there.
doesnt the twu have a boys club as well?

Buck you misconstrued. I didn’t attack you, I asked you basically what you thought about it? Your employer will do nothing to you and you have nothing to fear on the question. Besides the fact you never even said your real name on here anyway.

I think the picture looks bad for trying to lure more people to sign cards actually. Besides the demographics it also looks like a bunch of guys who aren’t long for this Company soon too.

Anyway let’s drop the conversation if you want cause obviously it’s one that makes you way too nervous to take up anyway.

No I think even under our circumstances of having to build all these contracts basically from scratch, 3 years is completely asinine. Ours are all basically down to Scope now. Scope is the # 1 important focus.

AMFA at SWA didn’t have to build a contract from scratch. They were stalled by Management who never intended to improve anything more for them than their wages. And that’s ALL their current TA does and hilariously even after all these years it looks like they still intend to vote that down?

And no 5 to 6 years should not be the new norm but of course you could be right. Hope you’re not of course.

I do, however, see the company going ahead with their future planning regardless of JCBA negotiation, as is a normal strategy for any company. Whatever changes can be made under existing labor agreements, I believe will be made.

I ageee with everything you wrote here. And yet you have full on Morons in your group who think Fleet Service people are the root of all their problems.

Has AMFA (AMT and Related only Union) been able to solve the problem you have? NO.

6 years and they gained no ground on their Scope whatsoever. Nothing at all.
