Last case scenario is Congress imposing a contract on us...especially if it's Republican led.
Mediation could be a long process. I don't think the process needs to start from scratch. Since there are a majority of articles T/A'd, it is possible he or she can pick up on the major sticking issues. Whatever transpires, it is just mediation NOT arbitration.

I was catching up on the post. I seen you were thinking I was avoiding you. Not the case, I was dealing with this storm. So anyway, continue on whatever you were wanting to discuss.
 
I have been reading all the crap of the last week and i have one comment. The best part of the M&R IAM contract is the medical and the best part of the M&R TWU contract is the scope language and this management team wants us to give both back. We should all be pissed at management not each other.
I don't keep up with this stuff much anymore, do you know if title 2 being offered the buyout like 1 and 3?

You wouldn’t see the TA’s because they are exactly that...TENTATIVE AGREEMENTS... meaning they could change prior to a full comprehensive TA is voted on.
AS AN EXAMPLE ONLY...... Imagine the discussions/ disagreements etc. that would take place if a TA went out with 7 weeks vacation and when it was all said and done the comprehensive TA had 6 weeks. Something similar could happen in any article that is currently TA’d.

The problem comes when the union runs its lip lying saying that the company wants unlimited contracting out. Sure that can change, but if someone is going to verballing tell us that, then if it's not cited or referenced with a document then it's all Bull. BTW, you can toss all of those TA's and start back at zero in about 6 months unless you clowns sign for less, because the company reverted back to its previous offer, which is presented on jetnet. Catering will not be offered ever again. Neither lavs. And grandfather rights will be pulled in the first meeting with the mediator. So you just hosed about 15 stations.

expedited talks is a 6 month process. If it doesn't end with a TA then normal section 6 will commence. Then all starts at zero.
The fact that the company filed for expedited means that it doesn't have a problem with all of the ta's to date. It just wants to tie them in with the meat and potatoes. Everything that has been done to date....is about 20% of the total package. Basically a few appetizers is all. 4 years pissed away because of greed regarding dues and the pension. The Unions are anti union.

That’s really good to hear you say!! Because you were the one that post on here that you were 100% sure, that if it went to section 6 that we would start all over from square one.
So we really appreciate you deciding to give us 6 months now. Because everything goes exactly as you state. So at least we all know we have 6 months before it starts over, instead of day one like you once said. ( I guess you changed your mind ) And its easy for you to say catering is gone, since obviously it was never offered by the company like you once stated, but, don’t worry, you can change that again also. But keep changing chameleon, your credibility is through the roof!!!
