American Airlines and Labor Negotiations

If company numbers are accurate on insurance costs, which I don't believe are accurate, roughly $180 million for every employee to have LUS insurance. What was profit sharing payout for 2016 and 2017? 300 million and 200 million, roughly. BS that this continues to be an issue.

This for me is a perfect example of why I have such disdain for the Association and International leaders.
Why can't they post the actual correspondence from the NMB with everything that was included such as the names of the mediators?
No, we get a paragraph saying we've been contacted, two mediators and budget constraints then a rant about the company not wanting to meet.
IMO Pathetic!

Competitive is just a euphemism for “everyone else’s insurance sucks, and now yours will as well.”

Tbh, the presentation you linked to looks almost identical the negative we get, right done to the fonts and page layouts. Only positive I took out of that is that AA at least posts what percentage of plan costs are employee borne.

Precisely on your first Paragraph.

Unfortunately I’ve been seeing quite a bit of Parroting of the Delta “Cult-ure” formula seeping it’s way into American Airlines.

On the Medical that’s IF you are confident of those percentages? I’m not really confident even if the APA, APFA and TWU have language limiting them to 21% on the CORE and Standard plans.

I see you trust them as much as I do. Now P. Rez if you’re proposing that the Company can keep their Profit Sharing in exchange for a better Medical cost, “I” could fly with that.

I really DON’T want their Profit Sharing. I want a more reliable Compensation package instead.

If the Association did receive an Electronic correspondence (And we should all assume they did) then I would tend to agree that the Association should have put out that contact in full.

Hopefully Gary will put that out later on the 591 page?

“Mr” Nelson there has been no “LAST” offer. There has been no last “BEST” offer. And there has been no last best “FINAL” offer.

If there had been ANY of those I’m again confident that the Company would have conveyed that message to us quite clearly using their controlled Computer systems.

And you also gave up your right to vote so you really should stop disturbing us who will be making the decisions for you.
Sure there was. The company put out a comprehensive offer. The union talks out of both sides. It says that there wasn't an offer. Then it says that there was but they wanted unlimited contracting out. Then the union finally admitted the truth that the company did in fact offer all scope for 40 stations and it was "Pleased".

The company pulled the offer when Sito wanted to line item the IAM pension.

By the way, here is the scope offer that the company proposed, and specifically mentioned all stations.

The company proposed to continue staffing 40 cities where Association members perform work today. In those cities where work previously performed by the TWU is currently performed by a vendor, the company has proposed removing the vendor and having Association members perform that work.
Proposal
Today, there are 40 cities where we have TWU, IAM, or both performing Fleet Service work. With our proposal, we would bring all covered mainline Fleet Service work in-house in these stations to be performed by Association team members.
40 cities: ATL, AUS, BDL, BOS, BWI, CLT, DCA, DEN, DFW, EWR, FLL, JAX, JFK, LAS, LAX, LGA, MCI, MCO, MIA, MSP, ONT, ORD, PBI, PDX, PHL PHX, PIT, PVD, RDU, RNO, SAN, SAT, SEA, SFO, SJC, SJU, SLC, SMF, STL, TPA

That's the best scope in the industry and the only major airline that keeps massive cargo centers under the scope as well.

The union was given this on paper. But it has refused to show it. They now say it never existed.

Things have deteriorated. Uncle Jerry was certainly going to file section 6 and things are certainly going to get worse. Unfortunately, 20 stations could be removed from that list when the company starts eliminating benefits from its offer. And offer that was 13% greater package than what 700, Sito, and the other dopes recommended at United.

YOU and those like you who are playing with the lives of over 30,000 people. You have zero leverage other than the Trump economic booming economy. But if you guys are right and that Trump's economy will fall then what else are you dopes going to give up? How many more stations are we going to lose?

How about we get some if not all of the picketers and hand deliver the available dates the Association is willing to meet over to Parker at HQ. So much talk in those updates, how about more action. An update to me telling the company they are available doesn't seem to be doing the trick. Or is that something the IAM is against. So much talk, but very little action. Actions do speak louder than words...

Of course we’re being played. I just want to make sure exactly who I think is playing us before I start to throw rocks at their heads.

Trust me. If it is one or both of our Unions I’m fully capable of hitting them right between the eye if necessary.

For now I still think it’s the Company though for the most part.
If
why do the executive negotiators continue to stall the vote?
There is nothing left to meet over as the company already gave the association its last best offer.
Tim is this company tactic a result of Peterson slandering the Executive officers?

God help you all.
Kev ive been around them for a long time anand f they do seem like a happy if not content bunch.I could pick out a NW person right away though.I personally wouldnt like to be so regimented

There’s a lot of unreadable drivel and trash throughout this response. Mostly the same incessant ramblings. But I’ll say two things off of this anyway.

First: The World does not revolve simply around the talks of Fleet Service Agents/Clerks. Nothing will be accepted to move forward one Group leavings others sitting back in the foreground.

Second: There will be no further talks with the Company until at least November.

This again is a factually inaccurate comment that has been rebuked multiple times already.

It did not happen for many years at USAIRWAYS when the plans first came into existence and there is no reason to assume any difference today at AA.

Besides those other Represented Employee Groups have their own Unions who will Negotiate for them when their time comes up. It’s not the job of the Association to concern themselves with what others might or might not want to shoot for off of what we’ve secured.
Go Away.
Your handlers arent securing lus health care. Not happening!
I guess nobody can stop your handlers from having the twu subsidize my lus health care but we are all moving to laa health care whenever your handlers come up for air.

You dont know either point you suggested.

BTW, the company really isnt in any hurry. With the revenue projections making the shareholders fussy, Parker simply isnt in the same financial position to offer us things that he could have a year ago.

And btw you dont know it, but you just wiped out at least 10 smaller stations by asking for $40 and lus health care for all, and rejecting an offer which was 13% over United.

He’s doing good today. The first step is to not pander to Internet gasbags, so thanks for taking a seat while he found his footing.

If you’re thinking I should be your Dancing Monkey on here and follow a particular direction you have in mind for me, I really need to have your list of who you consider to be “Internet Gasbags”

What happens if we don’t share the same opinions on who fits that description?

I “SERIOUSLY” want to read your list?

The mediators not meeting next month is a sign that the company will wait this out till after the holidays. The union needs to send a clear message that we have power also. Park the airplanes this holiday season. That is our big ace in the whole. I personally am sick of all the games from the company and union.
