what bullchit? did you have 40 years seniority in 2014?

if you had 23 years with lus, you didn't have a 5th week, al. the 5th week was added in 2014 according to the iam.

so, if you knew that, who is bullchitting whom?

...unless, the iam information director got the standalone contract details all wrong.

ok, our crew chiefs get a higher premium. exchange your insurance for the higher premium...and ouila, parity.

Well we just lost 12 flights a day to envoy so........
Envoy is another problem. We complain about outsourcing and here is Envoy flying our mainline routes. If you don't believe me then go check the schedules out of all the hubs in the system. You'll be shocked. I'm surprised the union is not mentioning anything about this.

You cleverly left out 23 years making sound like we had 4 . Ive had 5 as long as I could remember. When I reached six the bankruptcies started we actually had 7 at one time[/QUOTE]

NYer..

according to tim and other lus posters, the issues that you talk about (i'm assuming work rules) aren't as critical to them as they are to you...for any argument's sake and especially this argument's sake. lets count how many lus say they want this to drag on for years? so much for the mystery unsettled issues.

apprx. $4/hr raise, 5th vc week; ummm, these brought them up to laa levels?...throw in improved scope (7 weekly flights), $1500 signing bonus for F/T and keeping their insurance.

i'd say not too many lus felt like you do now. some laa didn't and don't understand why there wasn't a stink made by the twu as far as us matching their holidays..etc.?

As stated in prior posts, the IAM has a different perspective than many members in the TWU. They're more interested in protecting some of what they have and there's nothing wrong with that.

The members in the TWU haven't seen the work rule language that has changed so their perspective is influenced by the information released by the airline because a represents an addition.

When they gave us the pay raise in August 2016, it was easy to see this process would now take longer because the money issue was taken away.

Why would they give us the same holidays as the IAM CBA? Would you exchange deicing for it?

Crandall brought us American Eagle and Eagle Ground Services to work them, but he's revered for some reason.

Don't know if you've noticed but LAA doesn't seem keen on expanding employment.

Eagle came in 1985. They flew smaller aircraft to feed the hubs. Now the company is expanding and pretty much created a low cost airline within an airline. Eagle and Envoy are a whole different operation today. They are taking work from all departments. We should be concerned but I here nothing coming out of the twu. I wonder if the passenger service agents, flight attendants and pilots union have anything to say.

why not? it wouldn't have hurt to lobby for it, out of contract.

the pilots union will tell anyone who will listen that their profit sharing is anemic and they want it improved, out of contract.

i remember simmons..circa 1984, a few flights a day out of ord.

envoy is twu, so...the dues (though smaller portions) are still going to the right place??

They probably have scope on the amount and how many passengers they could carry

Conflict of interest I know you are being sarcastic but what good does dues do us?Its not like there is a need for a sttike fund for us

Yes, they entered the JCBA negotiations after the standalone but they really didn't address their issues expecting that to happen during the JCBA. Their standalone only really addressed a few issues but not all they wanted to accomplish most of which would be easier to achieve as part of a JCBA.

Without a merger, neither side would have been able to achieve what we'll eventually end up within a JCBA.
bolonga. and that isn't a snide remark at current senior management. Fact is, when things turned, they turned for everybody. The only way lus got their increases was from the increase in revenues. Look we are being held up, by one thing only and its not the medical, it's not medical, and its not deicing. You aren't going to accomplish anything either unless you take a stand, a hard stand against it. Look there's been a major substantial improvement in wages, and now a match. With any increase in those measurements of course their will be some trade offs. If will go to arbitration, we have nothing, nothing to gain. GET REAL.

The entire airline is growing.
