American Airlines and Labor Negotiations

That lack of information is what allows the airline to fill the gaps and their version of the story gets more credibility from the Members that just want some information or an update.

Ok after a whole load of garbage on this thread yesterday that we’re not going to repeat, we still need to get back to this.

Now it’s been 24 Hours and neither you nor anyone else has come to claim what information has been missing for them that they haven’t been getting that’s been needed?

You’ve been saying for years now that the Association has been terrible with information but have never offered one piece of advice how to change that?

NYer has been the only one that has been truthful and has answered every question, even from you. Unfortunately, you mock his answers and bully everyone on here.
Sad.

NEGOTIATIONS:

"Only thing that I have been told so far today about the meetings on Monday and Tuesday with the company is that conversations were done to clear up some different opinions on some language in a few of the articles that we had. (T/A,D) And that those issues were fixed. No progress on any of the big issues that remain. So I know what your thinking, if this is all that was done, why couldn't a phone call have been done to fix those issues. Anyway, thats all that I have on the meetings. Maybe the association will put out a official word in the next few days. I would assume they would put something out to comment on this past week. If I hear of anything else, I of course will update everyone."

W, do you just pick and choose what YOU feel is relevant. I specifically stated I wanted to know if anymore negotiations were discussed and/or setup at the two day meeting. I know the Ass and Parker discussed more meetings in the video's, but was anything worked out in that regards in this low level meeting. That's my specific question I want answered with a update W, and I think it's a reasonable one.

Not official, not from the Association in Update format and more often than not, as specified by this individual, a lot of his postings are his opinion only.

AANOTOK the question “I” have for the posters here is all encompassing not just specific to this one little meeting. NYer has been on here for well over a year now claiming that the Association has been giving pretty much consistently terrible updates so I’m trying to find out in general what that means and if that’s true from others?

Obviously they haven’t and aren’t going to put out updates with all the information on items they’ve TA’d and the Company who people claim is giving them better information hasn’t done that either. So how the Company has been giving people better information I’m left scratching my head on?

AANOTOK I think you’ve gotten to the point where you believe that everything I write is directed towards you here. It’s not. I’m really seriously trying to finally get a good answer from ANYONE as to what is missing that they need and also wondering if what people need (want) is something that can be provided to them?

As far as what Mark wrote. Mark is the AGC of the largest IAM AA Fleet Group at AA and has been a part of Negotiations since day 1 also including the IAM Standalone agreement. (The equivalent of Fa at DFW) I find his “opinions” far more credible than anything someone else who avoided his positions responsibilities for over 2 years has to say absolutely.

And as far as what’s going to be in the next update if they even put out one I have zero clue.

But again I want to understand what information provided by the Association to us has been so terrible? I’m still not getting a specific answer from anyone and I think I know why.

I have ZERO dealings with anyone connected with those “Official” updates. I take what I can find wherever I can find it and I share it with you here.

If people are starving for information like NYer “claims” then I have to say it’s absolutely unbelievable that when information is provided to them from wherever the source but it’s “GOOD” information that that information is basically pissed on.

Personally I VERY MUCH appreciate these extra pieces from Mark, P. Rez, Gary, Dale and even Fa.

I don’t care if the Association updates say that they’re the only place you should go to get information BTW. Those 5 people I mentioned are actually ON the Negotiations Committee’s and should be viewed as completely credible.

The GOP is absolutely masterful at staying on message and serving their core constituency- especially when compared to D's. They know what will whip their base into a frenzy (and get them to the polls), and stick with it. D's are often too busy "workshopping options," and wind up stuck over analyzing things.

they do whip their voting base into a frenzy:

- english as an official language
- prayer in school
- repeal abortion
- flag-burning amendment (lost by 1 vote in senate, 3 Rs voted against it)

are those really the issues of their 'core' constituency?? no.

the GOP wastes no time rolling up their sleeves to pass important legislation:

- tax cuts (corporate, income, estate tax and capital gains)
- roll back regulations (finance, manufacturing, environmental)

now that stuff is very important.

Still 3rd hand. The United Board Director was the only one in attendance on lus side. A phone call is all that was needed to clarify a couple small items. The company met with Sito to go over some other things that would have embarrassed Sito if he said otherwise. The company met with Sito to "discuss" things with Sito. Hang on weez, i love your support for iam matters, but me thinks your twu peeps may suffer some casualties in September due to negotiations being put off until next June. If the ballot count for Sitos election is May 20 something then we will make sure we hit the ground running by mid June.

Nothing personal guys, but it's such a battle to keep the forum on track when guys are at each others throats. But throw in pure political talk (exactly what belongs in the Water Cooler), and it's almost a waste of time to even try and discuss AA/Association negotiations.

I gave you the attention you need/enjoy yesterday.

Today is another day.

Sorry W, I'm only relaying to you what you specifically told me.

Why Facebook is a much better avenue to stay on topic. Yesterday morning I was debating the subject of one of Marks postings and a man who works here in MIA was propelling the agenda of my Local President rather than staying on topic.

I eventually just blocked that individual and the conversation was able to get back on track.

And on Facebook I have Tim blocked so I believe that’s why he tries to get at me on here.

Forums has zero true ability to maintain order and the current Admins don’t really even seem to care.

Sorry W, I'm only relaying to you what you specifically told me.

I doubt that I told you that any of the actual in the room or have been in the room Negotiators are not credible sources of information.

On here (IMO) the only “100%” credible sources of information because we know who they are, are Charlie Brown and P. Rez.

(I personally find Racer X and Filter credible too)

Back once again onto the Negotiations information bandwagon. I double checked with someone to find out if any of these positions had changed and was informed that basically no they had not. A few items had not been included but don’t look to me as your official source.

Check with your Local President’s and AGC’s for any further “accurate” information.
