Always good to see airlines growing and expanding. Hope they do well after merger.
Now getting to the rank and file. Sadly, the Mechanics at Republic are already represented by the worst Mechanics union out there, the teamsters. Mesa, however, is not represented so this will spark an election once they are merged. This vote could bring an opportunity for the Mechanics to start a "WRIGHT-IN" campaign to have the most Mechanics Class and Craft Union, AMFA, written in as an option. I also think AMFA should toss some literature and spread it out amongst all that will be involved. It would be the best move for them as well as the industry to remove the teamsters from representing Mechanics in the airline industry. Think about this Republic and Mesa Mechanics and related. Make a positive career changing move by bringing in a much more focused union that only represents Mechanics Class and Craft instead of the likes like, teachers, bakers, truck drivers, secretaries etc... **WRITE-IN AMFA**
