American Airlines Increases Florida Service; Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach See New Routes

MIAMI, Oct 15, 2003 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- American Airlines will begin or increase service out of Florida to a wide variety of destinations effective Nov. 1, providing travelers from -- and to -- the Sunshine State more choices and more convenient schedules.

"The appeal of Florida as both a leisure and business destination continues to grow," said Peter Dolara, senior vice president-Miami, Caribbean and Latin America. "As a result, we are adding or increasing service on many domestic and international routes from the state."

Nice to see all these new flights. Even better to read announcements of new mainline service since it seems that almost all new flights for the last several years have been Eagle and not mainline.

But I'm sure the disgruntled will soon post why this is bad news. B)
 
It would be nice to see PBI- ORD, LGA, and BOS year round. For years PBI's AA service has gone from multiple daily flights to all the above & DFW to only 1 flight to DFW. Palm Beach has year round demand, we are not a third world country for the summer. DAL has served the same markets for years, all year long, and they shown profits from it. Make my reservation for AA next July to ORD.

I strongly believe we will within 12-18 months.
