AMFA files for single carrier status for Alaska/Hawaiian merger

AMFA hasn’t added or brought in jack ****. Southwest Airlines “”””Management”””” brought in any and all extra work outside of what they are contractually required to. Period!!!!!

AMFA couldn’t bring in a wet napkin outside of what’s in their Contracts.
Wrong again there skippy!!! Most all the airline mechanics knows about the maint lines and maint work AMFA has nego and able to get work back in house (after the teamsters allowed it to go away) as well as the added lines of maint and added in house work to the back shops too. Now, yes SWA management has brought in some work too, but so has AMFA after careful successful nego's. Again as noted before AMFA has brought in more work, added more lines of maint and added more headcount than any other mechanics union at SWA, period, and the numbers after AMFA came in to represent, easily proves this.
Not going to waste my time to watch any video that the IAM puts out about AMFA as they are all lies and made up BS as always. Now sit back and watch how AMFA will prevail in the vote at Alaska/Hawaii.

AMFA legislative and membership meetings take place at local Dunkin Donuts 🍩 locations. All members receive a coupon for 10% off a large iced coffee at participating locations.

Again weezy, not going to entertain ANY of your posted BS videos. Get a clue dude. No one believes anything you post as it is all made up and misinformation. Pls carry on with your agenda skippy...

Just a quick reminder how AMFA can step it up WITHOUT a mediator present for the last 3 sessions and get their members an AIP just before the holidays. Look forward to all the improved language and wages for our fellow mechanics at Sun Country:-

And of course we cannot leave out the newest CBA agreement nego with AMFA @ Jazz. With substantial increases in all areas and becoming the newest bar/bench mark for the aviation professionals in Canada. AMFA has now brought just under a dozen newly nego CBA's with record improvements in all areas. Note the amount of pay increase % and future % over the years of the contract. Just another great reason to have AMFA, a Mechanics Class and Craft Union representing the Mechanics and Related at Alaska/Hawaiian combined airlines. And again, just before the holidays...

MISSISSAUGA, ON – December 11, 2025 – The Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association (AMFA) announced today that its members at Jazz Aviation—both Line Technical Services (Jazz Line) and Jazz Technical Services (JTS)—have ratified new five-year collective bargaining agreements. Nearly 90% of eligible members voted, with strong approval across both groups.

“These agreements reflect the commitment of our negotiating teams and the strength of our members throughout months of aggressive bargaining,” said AMFA National President Bret Oestreich. “Our skilled aviation professionals stood together, and these results speak for themselves.”

Oestreich noted that the contracts deliver double-digit wage gains, strong scope protections, and work rules that respect the knowledge and dedication of AMFA-Jazz members, positioning Jazz Aviation as a leader among Canadian carriers.

Key improvements include:

  • Immediate wage increases of 19–40%, retroactive to Nov. 1, 2025
  • Average wage progression of 63% over five years
  • Annual scale increases of 3.25% (Years 2–3) and 3.5% (Years 4–5)
  • Elimination of pension disparities; company contributions now 6–8%
  • Industry-leading night shift premium with cash-bank conversion
  • Enhanced field assignment and travel pay; double time for forced assignments
  • Removal of all two-tier wage and benefit DOR references
  • Improved vacation structure
  • Reinstated Stat Bank conversion; double time for Christmas, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day
These agreements set a new benchmark for compensation and work-life balance in the Canadian airline industry. AMFA remains committed to raising standards and delivering contracts that reflect the vital work of the aviation professionals who keep Canada’s air system safe and reliable.
