Would like to know where it is in the AMM SRM that duct tap is an acceptable rerair for A/C???

Our IAM's favorite plane (700uw)was in PHX 19 FEB 06 with duct tape holding F/A head rest together :down:

18YR working on A/C and I have never seen duct tape allowed as a repair.

Duct tape is not an approved repair material, but fire retardant cargo pit tape on the other hand........

Seriously, I have seen many EA's written where certain tapes were mentioned in the repair.

Maybe it was repaired at a station here in Texas.

probbaly some engineer approved it....as a temp until it could get into a station with a new headrest.
something like that isn't a biggie to get a nod on.

Thats funny I used to get mine @ the 3-4 module.
Of course it was for company use only.
