I am thankful to be healthy enough that I still have to go turn a wheel to get paid and if there is anyone out on a medical my thoughts and prayers are that they will recover.

Glad to hear it.

I know a few who are out with vertigo.

Great News!!!

US Airways, American apply to transfer all international routes to American after the merger

The five airlines involved in the US Airways and American Airlines merger asked the U.S. Department of Transportation to transfer all the international routes of US Airways and its two regional carriers, PSA Airlines and Piedmont Airlines, to American Airlines and American Eagle.

US Airways spokesman Ed Stewart called the filing “a positive milestone in the merger process.”

American and US Airways announced their merger Feb. 14, and now are going through the legal process to get the merger approved: antitrust review under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act and approval by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, US Airways shareholders and AMR creditors and claimholders.

In their joint filing, the five carriers said the transfer would benefit consumers and not hurt competition.

“In short, this merger benefits all stakeholders – consumers, employees and communities,” the filing stated. “It combines two great airlines and puts them on a path to creating a truly exceptional global airline.”

The filing noted that although the two airlines would be under common ownership after the merger, it would take some time before American and US Airways will combine operations, operate under the single operating certificate and fly only under the American Airlines name.

Airline officials have estimated that merger will close in September, concurrently with American’s emergence from bankruptcy court.

Great news indeed. Looks like your estimate of an August/ September POR was correct, even though your prediction of a JCBA was way crazy off. Current events tell me the sooner the better on a POR.

Yeah, the wheels are coming off!

You are clueless...

Speaking of clueless, you do realize that transferring all Intl flying to AA is just a step to get it all on the proper certificate since we will be AA in the future.....no change in ops, right?

Its a conspiracy to keep AWA pilots off of wide bodies. AOL is drafting a proposed injunction order as fast as they can.

....were successfully completed.

...... have not been implemented yet.

I'd previously believed "successfully completed" to mean something other than "not been implemented", but am always open to new concepts in philosophy. 🙂

You're allowed a mistake every now and then.

So...If a flat tire's removed from a vehicle, a replacement found, but never placed on said vehicle; would it be fair to say that the repair has been "successfully completed", even though "not yet implemented"....and...umm...would the car be at all servicable under those conditions? Somehow...that's just not my idea of "successfully completed". Your actual mileage (which, if trying to drive the referenced car would be zero) apparently may vary. 🙂

Not to worry. One day worthless paper may morph into a value of historic artifact.
