AUG/SEPT 2012 US Pilots Labor Discussion

Interesting.....This may be the first time I've seen stand up comedy.... 😉

....

PHX Reps ponder: "Assuming that the COC has legal teeth, our opinion is that our collective interest, East and West, are best served by making us an integral part of the merger process."

Yes, they want to propose that the legal validity of COC has somehow expired and is toothless now with age....

EastUS Van Winkle, it's not 2005 anymore, you can toss the old calendar. We're moving on without you ..

Hey, its not 2005 so we are moving on without you. COC is so yesterday, and doesn't even have any legal teeth.

But don't you even try to use that dismissive logic when referring to an internal union dispute, an internal union dispute that is so TODAY, and you can never move on until you go backwards in time.

You obviously see the connection to moving on and the final completion of the SLI integration. It's at the core of your opposition to anything merger related.

Closing this chapter is a cause to celebrate, not unlike the release of the US Hostages in Iran (except that USAPA held the pilot group hostage over 4 times longer).

I'm only going on the west reps recommendation. When will we hear from them?

We have. Days ago. Explain why you be going on west rep's recommendation. They're just rookie no counts.

Poor , Pathetic fool?, Hey I aint the one looking to put kids thru college, or sell my home, you want respect, FU, Get a life kid, your lifeboat is sinking your PHX hub is a flub, and the MOU was cxled because it changed the FLEET NUMBERS AND T/A, your ass is toast and after your last posts! LMFAO! MM! Do The Math!

....says the village idiot.

Scherff was seen coming out of Elises' office with his marching orders to sell Dougs' dream. The plan is to possibly help him with merger 6 as the failure to do so will cause unfortunate consequences for Franke Air leadership. The rest of the Westoffs are so enamored of being an AA pilot, they are practically peeing themselves.

....says the other village idiot. Or, are they one in the same?

Yes indeed. One simply couldn't construct similarly "consistent"...ummm...."logic" outside of a childrens' playground. In essence; there's apparently a brand new, magically materialized sense of "collective" interest...that naturally calls for completely surrendering all east contractual provisions that may yet serve to benefit east pilots....and doing so purely in the benevolent notion of immediately being then able to sit around a "collective" campfire and sing a rousing round of kumbayah. I can't help but be deeply touched by the ummm..."honest", obvious "mutual" concern and sincerity that's been newly birthed and clearly now running rampant throughout the west. Folks....ya' just can't make this kind of stuff up. 😉

EastUS Van Winkle, it's not 2005 anymore, you can toss the old calendar. We're moving on without you......

I'm crushed! Sigh!...What so very quickly happened to all that brand new "...collective interest.." ? 😉 If I didn't know better....I'd have to improperly conclude that there was no such newly discovered notions of fantastic fraternity here, and you were, as always, just trumpeting forth long standard and purely self-interested notions of what's ( you imagine) best for yourself and your west folks....which just couldn't be the true case here....could it? 😉

East vs West aside: Take a moment to even try to imagine whatever's left of the US operation might actually look like in two years or so, were the carte blanche to the company mou, as currently written, signed off on. NO min fleet...but...all should just trust the company for min block hours? Uh huh...sure thing. Just how well has that min block hours consideration worked out for the west in the greivance process so far? WHY did it ever even GET to a greivance process? What do you honestly believe the company would do in the future if min block hours then rule in the place of min fleet? NO scope of ANY value...and again...none should worry at all...? COC given up freely? = No problem apparently, since it's obviously an issue of "Faith" that such has no value whatsoever. Those are just for starters......

The so-called new fraternity is really nothing new at all. It's the folks who hired on to fly airplanes for money and not to try to prevent their little playpen from being rocked. The AFO's were give ample time to prove that they could lead and secure tangible benefits to the pilots. Once they got their upgrades (and proving they had the leadership ability of a Milk Dud) , c'est la vie!

Try to keep up EastUS! You are going to lose your much ballyhooed CoC and Fleet Mins and Scope precisely because you allowed the junior AFO's to run the show for too long and you chose to fight a civil war, rather than fortify the unity necessary to defend those provisions. Defending them is not an option. You can vote down an MOU, but the airline you hired onto will be handed over to the APA regardless and they really have bigger fish to fry than placating a bunch of truculent children from the east.

Cry, whine, stomp your feet if necessary, but your USAPA cabal neglected the needs of the pilots too long and when the money bell rings, we're comin'!!

1) Oh well...I guess not then, if you say so! 😉

2) Fair enough....(tosses coin) Here's a quarter kid. Get lost. 😉 Should this pos mou be adopted as written...I'll leave the "Cry, whine, stomp your feet if necessary," to you in a year or two...if you're even still employed then....

Yes, sorry, but you are. Grandma and Grandpa already have my kids set for college. Would I prefer to get a decent contract and pay for it myself? Yes. The difference between you and me is, I'm not a masochist. You willingly sit on the industry’s worst contract, because you (poor baby) couldn't steal west pilots seniority. Sell my house to move to CLT? I'd rather not, but I hear Asheville’s a nice town🙂

EastUS, you're still ducking the issue of your responsibility for the crippling aftermath of USAPA. Can you stand up and defend their actions and inactions thus far and put together a cogent argument in favor of supporting them? Previously I asked why anyone should continue to pay dues. Disregarding the requirements of Agency Shop, what tangible benefits does continuing to support a lame duck USAPA provide the average US pilot east or west?

Or are you simply a delivery vehicle for bombast and emoticons?

He's a vehicle for unreadable blather and horse sh**. If the inventor of the quotation mark saw how thoughtlessly Eastus abused the eyes of the reader with them he would have reconsidered his creation.

You don't have to trust the company. The MOU says if they shrink our side, they have to shrink the AA side at least twice as much. Don't you get it or aren't you listening? This whole merger lives or dies on market share. Shrink the company and they lose everything this merger is about. We have the worst contract in the industry and you thumb your nose at the improvements the MOU provides. Vote any way you like but how about stop with the misinformation.

Huh? How is that twisted BS even fantasized? I'm perfectly pleased that alpa was dismissed and usapa created! The "crippling aftermath" has seen many nic free years and a sizeable number of formerly displaced east captains properly back in the left seat, as well as hundreds of people improving their overall bid status. In any case; what does ANY of your entire last post (as is the typical case) have at ALL to do with ANYTHING considering this ridiculous mou?
