That's very eloquent. And in Nicolau's words, yet!

I hope our APA counterparts are paying attention. I imagine some are.

Aww...perhaps we should be kinder to the lad, after all "Cupcake" only wants a mere 15 years of other people's working lives to be completely disregarded for his own selfish gain. 😉 Truly; no more noble "ideology" could be found anywhere on earth! Can we get another rousing round of cheers for just how much "Integrity" supposedly "Matters" to any such people? 🙂

I guess I didn't look at that list when Clax originally posted it, or Dave either. That list isn't right. He was not slotted with guys hired in '85, more like '87-'88. Still not right, IMHO of course, but not that drastic.

I'm '86 and slotted with guys hired in '98.

AWA didn't have the money to benefit from US shutting down, or they would have let it. Just because the government gave you Dad a second chance doesn't mean the rest of us should pay for it.

AWA didn't have a pot to piss in when the merger with US was announced. Their contention that AWA "bought" US is so ludicrous that it is beyond comment. But I will anyway, since Parker has commented numerous times that AWA would have been in Chapter 11 before the end of 2005. And SWA would have driven them into Chapter 7 shortly thereafter without the infusion of cash that Lakefield arranged for the merger of the two carriers. Do you think Southwest would have passed up the opportunity to wreak havoc in PHX and LAS while AWA was on life support? They would have brought out fares that made the old Texas International "Peanut Fares" look like luxury purchases.

Had the merger not happened, SWA would "own" PHX as they already "own" LAS. And AWA would have been liquidated within 18 months of US going that route once it was obvious that no business plan they could come up with would allow survival against the SWA onslaught.

Ask the West guys.

What does my Dad getting a second chance have to do with anything?

I was against those guys getting preferiential hiring.

Yeah, you were against it only because it put your climb to the "top" on hold. It doesn't really matter to you that the Deregulation Act of 1978 required that preferential hiring.

You should have run for Congress and repealed it.

Your dad was a scumbag. He stapled Empire pilots to the very bottom of the Piedmont list. He used his influence to get out before the retirement went to the PBGC and got you the job at US Airways. He was the problem with pilot profession, personal greed. Glad he is gone, Chip Munn and your daddy had a lot in common. Some woman are attracted to such pigs and marry them and have children.

Absolutely false and uncalled for.

His father was a gentleman and an excellent pilot. And he was quite aware that Trader "marches to his own drummer." (His very words to me.)

Even Trader is actually a nice guy and excellent pilot. Why he has this particular misfiring synapse is unexplainable. Maybe if he were strapped to a chair, eyes forced open and made to watch TVLand for a week or two, he would come to his senses.

That is your former usapa president and "savior" Mike Cleary, aka claxon.

Now you have a problem with the things he says?

You don't like it when he goes after one of your own but have no problem when he attacks west pilots.

Thanks for the compliment.

I don't have TV.

Really. The guy that nearly ever airline calls with RLA question has no idea about RLA.

But you do?

Tell me. What experience does Shamanski have with RLA? What other airlines has Shamanski worked for?

You nor your pal answered my question. Where in the MOU does it say it is a JCBA? Metroyet supplied a Q&A from a third party, not the MOU.
All anyone has to do is read Silvers Declatory Judgement fro December. It is quite obvious.
Siegel was out of his element with the RLA. The Wilders, on their game.

You need to figure out who the players are. Winders name is no where on the filings. Shamanski is not an RLA guy. Siegel is a RLA guy.

3 of the 4 parties to the MOU have said it is a JCBA. The only one denying it is usapa.

Did you also read what Silver said in December? Usapa needs a LUP. They don't have one. She also said that arbitration is powerful evidence of a fair result.

I apologize. That was overboard.

If you print the MOU and the APA JCBA and lay them side by side, they are too vastly different documents!
