You made your Ceo's dependent on a weak labor force. Do the math hypocrite.

1/2 a million more in salary than the west in the ten years leading up to the merger, this does not count pension and other benefits.

Don't cloud their argument with facts. They get upset and start countdowns to....??? Well, I haven't figured that out yet, but I'm sure their invisible friends are urging them on.

I've done the math and something tells me you have cost yourself a lot more money in chasing your DOH dream than I have funding Leonidas. You're not getting DOH. Too bad you missed out on that raise. Nice try though.

Agreed sir. Sheesh!...The first thought that hits immediately after: You've gotta' be kiddin' me!? = Off with their freakin', tiny heads!

PS: "True Confessions Time"? = I've, for years now, sometimes considered buying the jacket, just to save room in the suitcase, instead of packing a normal jacket, but...some non-issued "pilot" jacket?...well...it just ain't fittin'!. 🙂

I think the leather jacket looks silly with the uniform, i.e. tie. It looks downright comical when the hat is worn.

BUT, for the reasons you cite, I have been wearing the leather jacket for many winters now ONLY because it means one less jacket to carry in the suitcase for layovers. I haven't been particularly proud of wearing the uniform anyway since the Speedbird left the scene, so I don't care how I look with the leather jacket and shoulder stripes.

If I again get to work for a real airline, I may retire the leather. But I will still resist the SkyCap hat.

Something tells you? It is called wishful thinking on your part. Your math is fuzzy. What raise? The 3 percent Kirby?

It will be DOH with conditions and restrictions, you get to keep what you brought to the merger, PHX, no wide bodies and west Management.

I can't fault ya' for that sir. The obvious practicality of the bought leather jacket, and thus not having to stuff half of a traveling case full with a regular coat's an argument I've had with myself for years now....but yeah; they do appear absurd whenever paired with a tie and especially, with a hat....but fully agreed on not having been overly proud of the corporate costume du jour for a long time myself.

Well something tells us if you produce your math you will be proven wrong! We await your "SWISS CHEESE" remember DUI said" NO MORE HIRING OR GROWTH IN PHX, EVEN WITH THE NEW DUTY RIGS FOR "4" yes "FOUR" years!" But on another level, dreams are free, so dream on!

Alaska Airlines actually did some research on the subject of pilot interaction with customers. They found that the passengers really liked being greeted by a pilot as they boarded. The passengers responded best to the leather flight jacket, the hat didn't matter. I don't have the official results otherwise I'd post. Found it out from a friend at Alaska. He is Mr. Blazer and hat. Most of my friends there prefer the leather jacket. Their passengers (Alaskan) are probably different overall from ours, but I still thought it was interesting. I personally think the hat looks professional, but I still have all my hair so it's really not that important to me🙂

America West Holdings and Douggie were doing well enough to put a deal together to acquire US Airways.

They were also smart enough to take advantage of a labor force willing to work for less than their West counterparts.
Here we goo again. Show us exactly where Dougie got the money?

Snapper... you are spinning again... It was Bruce Lakefield of USAirways that put the money together to put these two carriers together... Doug was involved, but without Lakefield and his financial connections this merger would have never gotten off the ground. The US Airways pilots had nothing to say or do with this abortion... they were sadly swept along for the ride.

Nothing more to spin. Marty has no more cash flow. The meet and greets are over.

Even Metroyet is silent. Save a few die hards, the rest realize the Nicolau has been shelved.

Has anyone heard of a change to section 12 of the MOU regarding pay protections after being displaced to lower paying equipment?
I've heard several people say APA changed that for an increase in another area like maybe per diem. Can't get a definitive answer from my reps.
Any info would be much appreciated.

You need to get out rubber room, get somebody to help you get out of the straight jacket and enjoy a game of golf. You were such a cute kid when you were young. You need to start enjoying life, not worry about Nic so much. You'll get used to him.
