In short, if the company and the DOJ can settle this thing and eliminate that temporary ripeness question, then Silver is not going to waste time on the games that USAPA wants to play. It's full speed ahead as soon as this merger happens.

At this state of AMR's formal reorganization what are the odds of US Airways' pilots obtaining additional contract improvements if the proposed corporate transaction proceeds when the revenue described in the Disclosure Statement is at risk if the DOJ demands an unrealistic antitrust lawsuit settlement? Let me answer that question. Zero. Nada. Nothing.[/background]

How ironic it would be for the merger to proceed without a MOU for US Airways' pilots (No Retrospective Pay, No Bonus, and No other contract improvements) with the new DOJ carve outs funded by US Airways' pilots because of the actions of the hardliners. Think this is not possible or the Company would not pull the MOU? Have we seen this before? [/background]
