I see again = Alpo's doing a great job then...the merger's proceeding well....and the AWA folks are all contented customers...and Alpo Nat'l is a benevolent and functional group. The current mess is entirely the fault of the east's MEC/Reps/etc. Sigh...words just fail me here.

You'll have to admit that tossing out Alpo would also serve to eliminate those pesky East MEC people though.

More the fool you...and you assign the "too stupid" label to people? What possible reason is there for keeping the same people who've made this mess onboard? Most amusing. Clearly; you've read nothing of the intended new union's notions of a proper charter/constitution/etc, none of which involve establishing "carrer politicians" as is the case with Alpo.

But I'm with Junebug on this one, when (not if) Doogie decides to get involved with another carrier, ALPA or not, I'd rather have the resources of ALPA behind me, than those of a brand new union with minimal cash, which would have been forced on almost half of the membership.

BTW, not seeing a triumph here at all. Just hoping that it is something that will bring us one step closer to either a joint contract or definite separate operations. One way or the other, we (East and West pilots) will all be paying for this for a long time to come.

I think that our non-Nic primary difference here is that I've honestly no faith whatsoever in Alpo being of much benefit in any future merger for us. My opinion's certainly colored by just how productive they've thus far been in this current mess.
