Several airport closures in Western Europe in the last few days due to heavy snow. But for the plane to turn around would make me think it was a passenger or mechanical emergency.

A/C may have just gone back to the Gate. Saw the other day most flights were delayed out of FRA due to Deicing. It was taking over an hour to Deice due to Truck Break Downs.
