Beef and Beer

Just heard the news the PHl Local 1776 is hosting a beef and beer to raise money for the 22 Thugs. I heard unemplyoment was denied and benifits for most of them except the AGC Armido who still is on full pay(B.S). So the bills are pouring in and the pressure mounting with no cash coming in. I guess they didnt think of this when they went in to the Marriot to rumble. I'm told its $25 bucks a person and was told some are sick of the thought of giving money to these idiots when so many before have been fired and have gotten nothing.

Im still caught up on the denial of unemployment benefits.......i dont understand it. Is it not punishment enough to fire the person/s involved? Taking away a few pennies in unemployment benefits is a bit over the top.....

NO! The state has every right to deny compensation when someone was terminated for cause. Apparently that is the case in this situation. In my experience which admittedly is 18 years old you had to have documentation out the ying yang to get PA to deny unemployment benefits.

The State of PA denying benefits does no bode well IMO for these 22 person who for reasons known only to the IAM (who ain't talking) thought they were above the law and so far that seems not to be the case.

But to keep the thread on point would you go to the beef & beer? I of course would not if I were an employee

Only way i would go there is if the beef were slow cooked and tender to the point of melting...Texas style. And the beer has to be ice cold 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

I think they were indeed thinking. I feel they knew EXACTLY what they were going to do, how far they would take it and had pre determined goals.

Did you investigate and talk to everyone involved?

Funny no criminal nor civil charges have been filed against any of the 22.

Perhaps because the people you call thugs were also good taxpayers until they were fired. They paid into the system and now that they need it, its being denied to them. Thats what gets me.....

Correct me if i am wrong, but arent unemployment benefits taxed as well? Doesnt seem like a free ride or a big deal in giving those people the few pennies to help them through what will be a tough time without income......

Did these folks appeal the initial decision? They should, As this is pending a greivance with the union. They need to express this to the hearing judge.

Unemployement benifits in every state are only if you get laid off or fired on "iffy" grounds! Nobody is supposed to get them when fired for cause. And if I am not mistaken the company pays not the employee. I don't every recall a line on my withholdings for unemployement insurance?

It comes out of the overall taxes you pay....Lord knows the entire northeast is drowning in taxes......you pay for it somewhere in there...
