I wouldn't call it lying. He's just not giving away strategy.

Why tip off the competition?

Yeah all of the majors and the true LCC's are always waiting to see what US does so they can plan their next strategic move. They are THE force to be reckoned with.

That's a great generic response. NOT!

Try reading some business info once in a while. Maybe you won't make silly statements like the one above.

SWA seems to be taking us seriously:

"It's really Southwest's capacity cuts in US Airways' markets that give us the confidence that revenues are in fact improving for US Airways," he said in the report.

Or how about Next Generation Equity Research Analyst Dan McKenzie:

"Tempe-based US Airways has one of the better competitive dynamics in the industry right now."

Here is an even MORE generic response.  YEP US has WN and others shaking in their boots. On that post I gotta go to bed. Oh that was rich. Nighty nite.

Surely you're not putting something positive on this board...

Just trying to make some people here think a little and look beyond their little paradigms.

Parker is not a great CEO, but he isn't a bad one either.

He is a money man - but who now isn't. The days of Bethune and the Herb are gone.

Parker has more than proved that he can run an airline.

Parker is not the "aw shucks" guy he makes himself out to be.

The east pilots thought they could come in, push the "commuter airline CEO" around a bit, and dictate how things were going to work. Now USAPA is getting its butt handed to them.

Guess that's what happens when you underestimate your opponent.

No, we've been down this road before, more than once.

He leads a bunch of angry employees and THAT my friend is a recipe for disaster. You build trust and integrity with your employees and make them FEEL appreciated and you'll just see this place take off. You see NONE of that here. I don't doubt that Parker is good at what he does. Not for a minute. But what he is NOT is a leader of employees. You look at Bethune and Kelleher and you see a CEO who knew that a great airline is only possible with happy employees. Ya see that around here? So save your crap.

Evidently, some of you thought the previous warning about staying on topic did not apply to you. This thread is closed.
