Cathy Flores running for LEC Sec/Treas???? Nothing like keeping it in the family, right Mike Flores??? Your wife must think you have some kind of "cake-job", right? She wants a piece of that "do-nothing-but-scam"...opportunism, just like you!

BIG, no HUGE mistake, conflict of f/a interest, if anyone votes in Cathy Flores in CLT for Sec/Treas...Mike Flores is trying to maintain his seat as MECP by keeping his WIFE as an officer of CLT to control that office. I suspect the current administration is controled by Mike Flores and is scared to death to cross him...What a frigg'en joke this has become.

DON'T DO IT FOLKS AND PAY VERY CLOSE ATTENTION!!!

Mike Flores and now his wife Cathy Flores will be pulling most of your dues $$ to support their entire family and life style.

This is becoming a circus.

From the list of nominees above...

Best folks running is CATHY CAMPBELL FOR LECP

JOHN HUMPHREIS FOR LEC VP

And anyone BUT Cathy Flores for sec/treas

Now that wasn't very nice now was it, Simon56?? It's nice to see that you are on the boards now and that your first post was to me. Sweet!

Actually I don't believe that I have ever said anything negative about our current Reserve person in CLT. Donald is quite capable and knoledgeable about the reserve contract. in fact I would support him for any of the higher elected offices has he chosen to run for them.
I do look fwd to viewing the video of the meeting that took place yesterday in Charlotte. I hope that our current Union Pres/ VP did make a good stand for the reserves who will be possibly displaced in June. That is what they are paid to do and I hope that they represented me as well as the other members well. However in the past... the Prez and VP have been unable to deliver so to speak. Perhaps they have come to the reserves calling.... but in my opinion.. a little too late in the game to start acting.

I seriously doubt that all of the people will be displaced from CLT when it is all said and done. But I am sure the bottom 20 -30 people will go for the time being. You'll have to forgive me if I have become a little disenchanted with the whole "you're displaced one moment, the next you are not... or the you're laid-off today, but tomorrow you are recalled" business. I'm not to terribly concerned about my future upcomming displacement...I do however feel bad for the ones who have come back to his company with high hopes after so many years away.. only to be forced some base they do not want to be in all because of the displacements and the bumps.

In the mean time, I suppose I will sure-up my current position as a "Gold Digger" to help me float out the hardships of US Airways. Don't hate! F/A gotta eat!

PITBull, you sound bitter...

Being a union representative is a thankless job. When you are put in that position you have to try to make as many good decisions as possible. You will never be able to please everyone. Period. You do the best for the masses and deal with the ramifications when you don't. Everyone, and I mean everyone can pick on every MEC Pres., LEC Officer in every base. There is no such thing as a perfect world when it comes to the union. It's members are as varied as it's officers. I think Mike is doing an OKAY job with the situation he has faced. I'm sure this goes against the norm of everyone else... So there, I've said it.

The question is:, "Could someone do a better Job". Maybe...Maybe not. This is who we have, and I stand behind him... Not because I agree with everything he's done. But because I believe in solidarity. Because it is the RIGHT thing to do.

Just my opinion...

[Jbragg, I know for a fact that you have never tried to contact the new reserve chair, so you can't say whether or not he knows his contract. He does by the way. As for Cathy Campbell as President. That would be a miserable mistake. Anyone who knows her, knows that she is several french fries short of a happy meal. Kathy was removed because she was giving out wrong information and has aggravated the company so much that they will no longer talk to her. She is the one giving lip service. She gives the appeareance that she is doing something, yet nothing changes.

If you and Cathy Campbell are so concerned about what is going on, then why were none of you at the meeting today at the training center with the President of US Airways?? All of the current AFA members were there and stood up to try to take up for the people who are getting displaced. The Reserve Chair had quite a speech to make. So before you start writing information, you need to know what you are talking about. Watch the meeting on the on the Web cast on the hub. I think you might find it informative and maybe it will change your mind about the current union represenatives in CLT or at least enlighten you. From my knowledge and experience with everyone holding office, they all know the entire contract, and have always been very helpful to me. They do care about the reserves and their livelyhood. If you truely wont representation in the next term, Cathy Campbell is not the person to represent CLT. You will truely be sorry for that decision....

Maybe the reason no one showed up at the metting was the patheticly short notice I recieved about the meeting. I got Ann Crawley's email 19 hours before the meeting. Great notice, if you don't want anyone to be there. I've never said Ann doesn't know the comtract, she should by now. She just seems to not pay attention to a certain section(RSV). We need someone in office who has been on both sides of the situation. I might have more respect for Ann if she had experienced everything I had. Let her or Glenda come out and live our life for a few months, or if her spouse/partner were lving it, things might change. We definately need new blood in the CLT LEC office. ABA.

I know that I plan on not voting in anyone who is currently in office. I am ready for a change. Time for there to be new blood in office.

Isn't Ann also one of the ones who voted to give our East profit sharing to the West side? I think that is on record. Don't get me wrong, I just think we should have been given notice of it or allowed to vote on that decision ourselves. That was huge. ABA.

Yes! Ann did vote yes to share our profit sharing with America West! She also voted yes to change our reserve option 18 screen to where we will no longer be able to see if scheduling has awarded anyone personal days.

PITBULL do you know anything about Nena Scott? I have heard that she is a real go getter and a fighter too. Agree with you that two family members should not be in office at the same time. That would be like having Bush as President of the United States and his wife Laura being the Vice President. A definite conflict.

SafetyStud, I do agree with you that you will never be able to please everyone and that we should be standing united, but at the same time shouldn't there be accountability for the decisions that are made. When there are decisions that are made to take anything away from the membership shouldn't that be up to the membership to vote on. Thank goodness our MEC does not have the authority to make the decisions that the pilots MEC can make...oh.... I guess our MEC has decided that they have that ability now!

Look this isn't rocket science. Someone tell me one thing positive that the current CLT pres has done for the FA's.
I honestly don't know of any. Plus she is a little hysterical in my opinion. Put in the new people, they can't be worse and most likely will be better. Ann go back to work.

As for Flores's wife, you've got to be shitting me.
He sits on his ass and now his wife wants to do the same.
Jeezus, do they have kids? Let's elect them too and make the whole family lazy union leeches.

Wake the hell up people.

Hold on, I'm still trying to think of something. No not yet. Hold on. From a RSV standpoint, I can't think of anything. I'm sure you will find a couple of people, but the majority are deadset against Ann being reelected. We did have a RSV committee, made up of about 10 RSV's, but we formed that ourselves, just to deal with our issues. Ann disbanded it, though. I just think Ann and Glenda need to come out here on line, bid a block some months and then RSV others, you know, get a taste of what is actually going on, and then maybe run at another time. That would probably serve of best. As for Cathy, I would be concerned about her leaving, just like Mike did. He was like the interum Pres. between Steve Hearn and Ann Crawley. Again, I would not have voted for him, had I known he was going to bail on CLT within a year. ABA

Cathy has more experience than anyone else. If she leaves then I assume you mean Mike is gone.

WTF?

Can you say win-win situation.

Hand job, I think you misunderstood me. I was referring to Cathy Flores leaving office, after being elected, just like Mike did. I wasn't referring to our next LECp, Cathy Campbell.

You're easy to misunderstand. Cathy Flores should not be elected, so if she is and leaves who gives a sh*t.

I giver a sXXt. That would just leave a spot open, just like now. They never filled the spot once Mike left. I asked them about it and was told those two could handle it. Doesn't seem to be the case. Just trying to catch you up to speed, so you will understand.
