CLT Local AFA Elections..... Who are these people running?

YEA!!!!! I received my ballot too! Already voted!!!!!! It states that you must put an X in the boxes or the vote will be voided so guess that means do not put a check in there by mistake. Would not want any votes voided on this election. So lets not take any risks into a vote being voided!!!!!!!!!!!!! So an X marks the spot!!!!! This is going to be an interesting election. Most of the candiates have put out letters and we definitely seem to have a qualified group of individuals who want to stand up to the plate. Lets get some new blood in office!!!!

Again, I was hoping that we would be having a local meeting, so we could all meet the candidates. If I am correct, A. Crawley has to schedule that, being the current LECP. Their is only one reason I could think of for her not to have one. Even Steve Hearn did that. ABA.

N109UW I have to say I agree with you. I am surprised that there has not been a meeting set up where we can meet all of the candiates running. Who is in charge of arranging the meeting?

As far as I know, current LECP Crowley has to arrange it. I know that was how it was done when Steve Hearn was here. I'm pretty sure she has to do it. I can't imagine having an election where we don't have somekind of a meeting to ask questions and get to know the candidates. One question I would ask Cathy Flores is, "Do you plan on staying in CLT, if you are elected?" If I had any idea that Mike Flores was going to leave CLT within one year, and leave Ann in charge, I would not have voted for him. It concerns me that Ann is in a position that she never seems to have wanted, or she would have run for that position earlier. She kind of ended up there by default.

The elections seem to be headed in the right direction. The talk on the line is that everyone wants to see Ann and Glenda out and new people in. Yes!!!! Lets hope that we have a better voting turn out than PHL did. I do believe that this go round we will see a complete change in office!!! ABA

This is the first time that I can remeber, that the incumbentn LECP has not had a meet the candidates meeting. That is alarming. Does Ann just not want people to get together and ask tough questions of her? It just seems odd. Hey, didn't she vote "yes" to give our prifit sharing away to the west f/a's? People need to know that.

Well, we are all voting and I can tell you that this election turn out is going to be just like it was with congress. Everyone is ready for a change and if you are out on line flying and not a union officer then you would realize what is taking place. There are three candidates running for each position and I do not hear of many that are voting for the current officers. But guess anything can happen with an election. Have to say word on the line though is ABA(anybody but Ann). B)

I may be wrong but as I recall the decision on profit sharing was unanimous among all the LEC'S. ALPA & IAM, too.

I would have just liked my LECP to vote no on the prifit sharing. It's a shame we were never told of this vote until it had already happened. Evidently, the common f/a doesn't need to know such things. Is that what you are saying? This is not a dead horse. Most don't even know that she voted to give it up. But trust me, they are learning fast. I guess that is a vote that you wouldn't want to brag about.

I really want a meeting with the candidates. I want to see them in person, in front of a crowd, see how they handle themselves. See how they answer certain tough questions and issues. By not scheduling a meeting, so everyone can have a chance to meet all the candidates, would be a dijustice to everyone in CLT. Don't you think so? Anyone can stuff a mailbox, but facing your constituents is another matter.

Cathy Cambell is nuttier than a fruitcake... and I mean CRAZY. She has been a know it all since she was hired. She was ex-Eastern and acted like she knew EVERYTHING about aviation. She is insufferable. Horrible to passengers and crew alike, basically an equal opportunity offender. The Charlotte office is in real trouble if she wins.

Not only posts bashing them, she also posts stuff tooting her own horn, its hilarious! Don't worry its the same people using different names answering their own posts. Intelligent people make take the time to do their homework and vote accordingly, they don't rely on a rantings from current and former want to be's. PHL's election is a prime example of that.

I agree AC and GT are the best choice for CLT. Last thing we need is a loose cannon with a big mouth who thinks they have a clue.

Ann could have voted no and it still would have passed. You try to make it sound as if she was solely responsible for it. And that's a piece of misinformation.

You don't want to meet the candidates. You want a Jerry Springer event.
I can do without that kind of drama.
Besides, you've voted already anyway. You could give a hoot about a meeting.
