Colodny Against Abandoning Pit

First, PI was'nt the problem. They said for years we were top heavy in VPs , but we have more VPs today than at any other time. And if they are'nt VPs then they gave them a different title.
What moron spends billions to buy a company just to dismantle what made it great. Oh yeah Ed did! PSA had the west coast sown up. So where are we today there? Do we have hourly svc between cities? Do we go to many of the major airports in CA?
How about an intra state route system in prfitable FL? Nope!!!
He wanted everyone to become a Usair clone. Dont smile , screw customer svc. Theyll fly on us because they have to. Ah hah.
Now we have a BOD and managment who use a ouigi board to guide our path to the future.

I agree. It shouldve been PIEDMONT buy US. Piedmont had a loyal loyal base. US did not. Sad tosee, three great airlines simply destroyed

usfliboi you clearly do not know what you are talking about. No surprise to most of us on here.

Praise Colodny all you want, so long as you then give Wolf & Gangwal the credit they're due for cleaning up most of the mess Colodny left behind...

Ed Colodny was a class act......unlike all of the CEOs that followed him.

Best wishes in retirement Ed,

I don't know about billions, but Bob Crandal spent millions buying AirCal only to dismantle it. Bob Crandal has been called many things, but not stupid. Yet AA messed up just as badly with AirCal as Colodny and Schofield did with PSA.

Well at least AA did learn from its mistake and never did buy and dismantle another West Coast airline ever again. Err.. Oops. Disregard the last bit. :p

And Ed Colodny was and still is a class act. Back home in Vermont, he has helped to reorganize the management of the Univ of VT and a major hospital in Vermont. Both had suffered through fouls ups by previous managements.
