Once again you have no dog in this fight and from what I have been hearing you seem to be on the UAL forum talking smack over there as well. Let me give you a quick clue as you seem to be somewhat lost. The Nic award was more than fair in fact we on the west again got the #### end of the stick! All the protections that they are crying about are contained within the award! Now I know they wanted Date of hire but sorry sister in our policy it no loger exists and you as well as them need to face facts!

Now the reasons why we won't see a deal to change or effect this award is they never wanted it before and now they have nothing in which to offer us on the west NOTHING!! Now lets talk attrition since this seems to be the topic of so many east debates and concerns. Any attrition they think they had is due to the direct result of this forced marriage!! Without it one thing was certain Airways was as good as liquidated. No money, no plan equals no airline thus NO attrition...

Thanks for your concern for me but it's not necessary. We will be ok as ALPA knows that we will sue and not the bogus crap that the east filed which is as dead as fried chicken...

Don't go there!! Your MEC had every opportunity to negotiate and refused. We offered fences, conditions and restriction yet they refused. The arb panel offered and unprecidented after arguement date to come together yet YOU REFUSED!! So tell the damn truth for once!! you people wanted, expected, DEMANDED a land grab. You figured you would take over PHX and LAS and if there was anything left our pilots could have some scraps!! This is the same attitude you took with UAL and that didn't go over well with them either. I just heard thru official sources that the company has no plans to entertain parity. Looks like LOA 93 for the long haul boys and girls, unless you wise up and get a contract. I'm holding out for UAL or even NWA or any carrier at this point. The whole decert effort on the east if it ever had any real legs at all will be the shortest in the history of unions

I can't find ANY information to back up your statement regarding parity. Since you are not "OFFICIAL", we'll have to wait and see if the company is really that stupid.

Some facts:
*There will be no new joint contract.
*The cards are out for the vote to replace ALPA.
*The Nic award is DEAD.
*We're checking out Captains as fast as we can train them.
*Without equal pay, there won't be enough of this company left to sell.

I don't think the West feels like their wildest dreams came true at all. It is just that the pattern of negotiations after all of the time and money spent has been a DOH take it or leave it stance. When has there been any compromise offered in the last two years? The position of the AAA MEC didn't offer much in the way of protections, for example, in the left seat 757 positions in PHX.

Hey donttouchthebeauty, not all of the Tempe people are like AWA320. Just like I don't really believe that everyone out East is at all like USA320pilot. Every group has some of them.

AWA320's post to start this topic is "misrepresentation".

The Company has already offered the pilots what they believe is "parity" + 3%, however, due to the Nicolau Award and other economic factors at the time that was not enough.

Following the Nicolau Award the East MEC and rank-and-file sentiment has changed. The East pilots no longer are seeking a joint contract, until the Nicolau Award problem is recitified, and are seeking a pay raise through separate NC talks. Progress on pay increase talks will be discussed in"closed" session by the MEC on July 12 & 13.

In regard to a source, the news media nad other people often make a quote citing people who would like to remain anonymous. In my case when I report an item, such as the UCT or ICT, I gave the source when possible or then when the information became public, such as David Bronner telling the CLT Observer he wanted to buy United assets for US Airways if it made sense or "Project Minnow", I would then cite the article verifying the discussion.

There are only a few AWA pilots who post here because most know that this board is owned and moderated by an East pilot.

I've been posting here for five years (since I migrated from the PlaneBusiness Boards) and I never knew who moderated it. I've never been warned or even chastised by any moderator on any message board. There's simply very few AWA pilots who post on any message boards. Most are smart enough not to bother. 😉

Actually, this board was started by a former East FO, since furloughed, back when I could hold a left seat. He used to show me the prototype web site when on trips together. I believe he went into corporate flying, but I'm not sure.
Nicest guy in the world, I'm really happy he put this together and hope it makes him a rich man.

That is not the "Wests" style. The time for talk was pre-arbitration and going back to hash it out now is irrelevant and does nothing but get peoples blood pressure up. We will be willing to let the system run its course.

I personally wasn't screwed by the Nicolau award, but I did not gain anything either; as it should be.

Again I am betting you won't get a 1/4 of what you need and soon the company will pony up the dollar so we will see if the rest is ready to stand by what you say or take 25% or better in a contract but do what you gotta do 😛
