I stand by what I said. The problem lies with the pay. I have the majority of the Crew Chiefs beat, in fact I was a Crew Chief for several years. I take acting Crew Chief when its offered but the money isnt there to make it worth taking full time. Are there incompetant crew chiefs out there? Well are there incompetant managers out there? The answer to both is yes, the processes used to select them are different but the true cause is the same-not enough money to make the job desirable and sought out.
