Just read part of the lawsuit filed by ATD members against the TWU for the Life Insurance Plan they were peddling.

It seems that Sonny Hall and the TWU relied upon a broker that was paid by the Insurance Company for Insurance for their members.
Kind of like hiring a balloting company that has top executives from the company on the board or a consulting firm hired by the company that prepared a presentation to the International highlighting the company's economic difficulties to go through the company's books.
Sonny Hall said that he never even read the agreement that he sold to the membership!!!
I'll bet he never read our contract either!
Why are we paying this organization two hours of gross pay, in other words working three hours, per month?
This clearly is a union that has failed in its fiduciary responsibilities.
The court apparantly felt the same way.
How do we correct this?
Unfortunately we do not have the power to vote out such an incompetant leader. A leader that will encourage members to accept a plan that he never even bothered to read.
Sonny Halls trust in people who want to take our money is in complete contrast to the trust he has in the people he purports to serve. He trusts them and hates us!
Sonny's admissions are almost beyond belief, unless of course one is familiar with the way the TWU/ATD does things. Then of course it comes as no suprise.
There is only one solution at this time-Fill out a green card and vote the whole organization out!
