Have you seen the new sculpture outside the Tempe HQ? It's dedicated to the employees of the former US Airways. It's a 25 foot Rear View Mirror with the inscription, "Mirror Mirror in the Grass...",

This airline sucked for the last 20 years but it is all Sand Castles fault in the last two.

Every system twice BK US had was soooo much better then little O'l AWA used (the Fact that CO & NWA used them too doesn't count).

Who by the way cannot think thier way out of a paperbag, becuase it wasn't that way for the last 25 years and we have always done it that way! But we gave great "East Coast" type customer service, sure we where rude but we where "High Class" rude not "stupid red state nice" like you losers in Tempe.

The employees of U have busted their a** 's for this company, and have endured sub par treatment from the same for a number of years. I wont take this sh** from you, you inbread, psyco, hick. You have NO idea of what you speak. (Sorry monitor, I believe it is called for.)

First of all I want to thank PB for his support. I had planned on writing a scathing rebuttal to the idiocy that is posted by a few select individuals on this thread. After thinking about what I wanted to say I decided that doing so would be a waste of my time. Instead I will express something I have learned about dealing with people that have absolutely no self confidence and very low self esteem. Their lives are so shallow and meaningless that all they deserve is my pity. They are not worthy of anything more. This thread is not good for anything but bait to lure people into the cornfield. Therefore this will be my first and only post on this thread.
 
Sure, an insult to the east employees is out of line ..but nobody seems to think it's out of line when there are insults directed at west employees.

Granted, I don't read every post on this forum - who has time - , but I don't remember seeing any posts by "Easties" directed at West front line employees. (Tempe management, yes) But there have been vitriolic comments directed at East employees just in this thread. Just for the record, I have had nothing but good experiences with West front line people.


I agree there is nothing inherently wrong with SHARES as implemented by Continental, A JD Powers award winning company when it comes to customer satisfaction. However, SHARES in the hands of incompetents is another story. SPECTRE I can't comment on as it is not a customer facing system.

The additional dollars expensed to bring the HP version of SHARES into something that resembles a modern reservations system is well documented. Please refer to the Press Releases regarding the hiring of 1,000 additional people that were appparently not needed prior to SHARES and the Res Migration Documents that refer to the additional programming hours required by EDS to fix just 2 of the "Big Eight" open issues. The whole exercise is yet another example of the high cost of cheap.

Now that the REs Migration FAILURE has been well documented by irrefutable evidence we here the rabid supporters say "It was NEVER a long term solution" and all of the sudden the Star Alliance and Amadeus is be spoken of. Could it be that HP IT has finally realized they can't organize a one car funeral?


Again, the problem is not really SHARES. CO runs a very good, very big, very international operation using its SHARES. The real problem is "QIK". CO lets their employees have the choice of native SHARES and their "gooey" overlay. Guess what most CO people use most of the time. Tempe will not let its front line employees have the same option. (Something that does not keep Tempe HDQ from using native SHARES. )

did you have and ex-wife or ex lover or ex boyfriend from back east .. You seem to have alot of pent up anxiety .. might want to have that looked at..

Hey US1 all my fist up's have almost disapeared. It's not because US1's are in the seats but US4's. I am workin a lot of hours ...means lots of flights and almost all of the seat are taken by silvers. I ran into a corporate jug head and told him that most CHP's book their flights within 72 hours of their flight and all the F seats are gone mostly by millage upgrades or res selling the first up's. I told him that silvers and golds should go back to the coupons not sure he was even listining to me so I introduced him to two CHP's in the boarding area and not sure they got through to him. Two flights yesterday to CLT ..oversold 5 CHP's in center seats, coach cabin. (first class) 8 silvers 1 gold 3 divedend upgrades.

This is happening on every flight I work. As I said before. For every US1 that leaves their is 20 silvers trying to get there.
 
Here is a fact, there is absolutely nothing wrong with Shares or Sceptre, what is wrong is the absolute refusal or ability of the East people to us them properly. About 75% refuse to try and learn and about 25% are apparently incapable! Anther point is everyone keeps talking about the "Bad decision" to use these two system. News bulletin, there was no choice the US contract on both where so horribly bad that even after two BK's the company was still getting ripped off. Also another "news flash" neither are the planned long term solution, but to merge they had to be combined them to get to this point, so you can be part of the process and make them work and also help find a better long term solution or you can refuse to even try and just complain. P.S. Pineybob your pathetic, excuse making, support of these people is bizarre and most likely completely disingenuous!
I know how to use shares and it socks. It was a good system for a small minded airline but has no place here.
