Cwa Proposes Buyout Package

If I understand the SWA offer, they will give you $750 for each year of service to leave early. So for a 20 year employee, that amounts to 15k. Big Deal, as it is less that one years wages, even at Mainline Express rates. Unless you are on the brink of retirement anyway, this is no Hot offer. There are a lot of us at top rate that have 20+ years, and are only in our 40's. It would have to be a much better offer to get most of us to nibble.

You're right. If they offer an early out hopefully the number needed to retire will be an age + years of service combination, and not just 50 years of age. The last buyout I remember was in '90 or '91 and you had to be 50 years old. Quite a few guys with 25+ years didn't meet the age requirement

I don't see a decent offer coming from the company, but hopefully I'm wrong.

C'mon take the money and run..

Better the a lifelong timeline @ X-Press wages!!

Believe me, the way it's looking, getting frugel in a less conservative way!!
