It's nothing to do with underbidding, believe it or not we all work for the same company, have the same uniform, same travel rights, and nearly the same salaries. Believe me there is very little difference in what i earn and what you earn....you can also be damn sure i take home a lot less after all the taxes i pay. Income taxe at 40%, pension, as for petrol it's 90 pence a litre here so that works out about $5 a gallon....with regards to the eco's and sic's, theres no point in a station taking on extra work if another part of the operation suffers. (MEL's etc) We have also taken 5 new oal contracts which are turning a pretty penny.
With regards to the open skies point, i think AA in general should be worried as a possible takeover target for one of the cash rich European airlines, but thats a different can of worms. I'm not management, i work for a living, as the saying goes!!
