The sole purpose of the representation process is to complete the merger and allow DL to fully function as one airline. Operationally, that was accomplished some time ago. As soon as NW became a wholly owned subsidiary of DL, DL stopped reporting performance of each airline separately, just as it does with other wholly owned carriers.
The simple fact is that DL could not have accomplished what it has this year without the assets NW brought to the table and the contributions of each city and workgroup.

Here's hoping that 2011 will bring final and speedy resolution to the representation issues and shared success for ALL members of the Delta family.

PMNW have a profit sharing program too, and that it's set up almost exactly like DL's, but I'm sure you already knew that...

You also realize that any profit sharing $$$ you receive will be a result of the efforts of *both* PM groups, right?

Yes, I do realize it's a concerted effort and thank you for yours, also glad that everyone will enjoy the fruits of our labor......................only difference being, I'm not having money deducted from my pay-check in order to recieve said profit sharing check !

Yes, believe or not .............some people still feel a certain comradery, working together, even when not belonging to a union and paying dues !

I use the term "family" in a generic sense to mean all of the stakeholders.... shareholders, stockholders, management, and customers.

There are certain inherent conflicts between each of these groups but I do not believe the notion that one or more has to suffer in order for the others to win.

I also do not think DL is the only company that refers to its stakeholders as a family.

As far as I know, they are not... We were refunded a pro rated amount of our November dues on our last check...

Yes, and not for the better, I'm afraid...

As for the uniforms, the rest of initial issue that we ordered in the fall of '09 were supposed to have started shipping a few weeks ago (shirts and coats). They (DL and Cintas) are doing it station by station. Separate from that, we used to get an annual allotment of points for uniforms. That has been converted over to the DL system as well, so that we can use any point accruals left. Couldn't tell you how it works though, as I'm locked out. According to the rep at Cintas, DL hasn't "merged me over" (her term) yet... All the more strange since I was able to get into the external uniform site prior to this cutover...
