Good question. If a "decision" on the "new" MOU has to be made within 7 days, there will be no vote, it would all be done at the BPR level. It better be damn good because BOHICA!

I'm confused. If we can't vote on the MoU because of a time constraint and the merger is announced as a go on the 9th, do we miss out on the MoU completely?

No, if that turns out to be the case, we will get the MOU that the BPR considers to be in all of our "best" interest. We can then moan and groan at great length, but it will be a "done deal'" so it won't matter what we do at that point.

I just hope it contains lots of money because you can bet we will have given up plenty!

If Bill "Firewall" Mckee likes it it's a MOU, if not it's a proposal.

If Lance-Jack-Tory-Marshall-Woerth-Prater could find a blank sheet of paper to sign, they would hoist it on a stick and wave it already.

And you east pilots voted for it.

Now you have boxed yourselves in with no choice.

So our guys aren't voting to send it out, they're voting to implement it. They're deciding on the quality of my life for the next two years.

That is the position that usapa put themselves into.

When no one can work with east pilots they eventually figure out a way around them.

The majority will decide your future. Just like east pilots wanted and demanded.

The company has already filed the appeal of Judge Silver's ruling to the 9th , how long will that process take, including the appeal to the SCOUS?

I highly doubt the 9th will even hear it. Been there, done that!

I think the BPR sends it out. They saw what happened last time, the company pulled it.

But a membership vote is irrelevant. The merger will be announced before the vote is done. Plus a yes or not vote will not decide if a merger happens or not. So any east pilot thinking you can stop the merger bu voting no. Think again.
So any west pilot thinking he can stop the merger by voting no, think again.

I think you meant east pilot. I haven't read any posts by the west pilots here wanting to vote no. Luv9 has made it clear he doesn't even want it going out at all.

If indeed, this turns out to be a BPR "cram-down" if will effect much more than the next two years. Not to worry, there has never been a shortage of those who "know what's best" for us mere "worker bees".

At this point, personally, I really don't much care. The time it will take to get this thing to a joint contract, plus the fences and freezes that will be in place (as high and as wide as the eye can see) will pretty much guarantee that about the only benefit "I" might see, prior to retirement, is a pay raise. I hope it's a real good one!

Not bitter...just reality. I'm enjoying life and will continue to do so.

Keep blowing smoke.

Doubtful. You come across as a whiney, miserable little man. Your less than stellar career at US Airways and your failure as a union leader were catalysts, I'm sure.

Keep blowing smoke. It's all you've got.
